@@GeneralLeia but not initially despite the defense requesting it prior to passing them out to the jurors. The defense had to challenge her on it before she came back to revise it. So ridiculous and obvious she was trying to subconsciously persuade the jury to vote guilty! 🙄
If no one has figured out yet … jury’s don’t always understand these confusing instructions !

I don't get it. There's a missing checkbox that the defense lawyer is complaining about(right?) or there just isn't a checkbox because it's not needed, which is what the judge is saying(right?).
If the checkbox is a "Guilty" mark then I can see where that makes sense. Just don't put a mark in that box if you don't think the defendant is guilty. Everybody is innocent until proven guilty, the defendant is innocent until the jury marks that guilty checkbox.
Wellll, juries want very much to follow the instructions. Juries often are confused by what they have to do with the concluding paperwork. In CA we DO have two boxes; not having a "not guilty" box is ludicrous.
That makes no sense that the jury doesn't have a "not guilty" option! The judge is in fact forcing the jury to make the verdict she wants and "not guilty" isn't even an option to her. That is not fair nor judicially correct! KR's defense team can appeal any negative ruling, petition for her recusal and file a complaint/report her to the judicial review board!
Makes one realise the judge in Murdaughs case was a pure gentleman!!! No ignorant ego there😮

Purpose of defense attorneys are to help ensure the law is applied correctly. Seems to be pointing out some very important discrepancies. Judge seems very unprofessional.

The verdict on the slip is Not Guilty UNLESS guilty is checked against any of the charges, it’s not difficult
You'd need to be a lawyer to understand that form. Is was not clear and it needs to be. It was a dodgy form, there needs to be a not guilty box.

So now this defense attorney is trying to give the public the impression that special verdict slips were created for this case, and this case only.
From day one, he has been trying to convince the jurors and the public, that there is some vast conspiracy, involving the entire judicial system, to frame Roger Rabbit.
I've seen lawyers like this defense attorney in various other trials. They always seem to think that they are the smartest person in the room and they always, always go too far. They seem to be performing for the cameras or their friends and law partners. They don't seem to care if their methods are effective or if their antics insult the judge or the intelligence of the jurors.

All he has to do is create reasonable doubt. He doesn't have to prove innocence. From what I've seen, if I were a juror I would be voting not guilty, I didn't see enough hard evidence that she did it, and can see how the evidence presented could have been manipulated, which gives me doubt about the accuracy and motivation of the investigation, in turn creating doubt about her guilt. He did his job.

The attorney is bringing this up so it can be included in future appeal. The judge is not going to change it and he knew her answer was going to be no before even asking. As for judge making comment to Karen it was inappropriate and shows judge is biased.
