So as this is a mobile shot which I normally don't do I'm interessted in knowing if anyone else are doing mobile photography? are you shooting raw or jpgs
No its not an Ansel Adams. But soon! You found the tools that help with black and white. The the darkroom back in the day it was a limited set of tools, either you under exposed or overexposed and than you dodge and burn. The makers ad Darktable over complicated their program and we must go back and simplify what we have. I appreciated the time and effort and have learned something. Im adding a group named black and white and adding the tools that you used.
Don't apologize for cell phone pictures.....the images I get from my phone these days are better than what I got from my first professional digital camera from the early 2000's (Olympus E20n). I'm consistently surprised by what I can accomplish with my phone!
Yes, I agree that cell phones are getting better and better, and most of them can actually shoot raw as well. My phone has 3 lenses, but still it can't give me the dynamic range that my camera offers, however my phone is a low budget one so you get what you pay for. Thanks for commenting Robert, I really appreciate it.

Your image is now quite Ansel-esque :)

Hi Kurt, thanks a lot for your comment. I agree, dt is a bit over complicated.
Nice, a bit dark, but overall very nice that you got so much out of a mobile shot.
Thanks LosingMyCool, it's indeed a bit dark, I did another version after making this video.
