I find it interesting that in the timothy short, the first thing timothy notices from the creature is the fact that it doesn't have a mouth, rather than the fact that it is naked. And the fact that us viewers, are likely more unsettled by the creature being naked rather than the fact it doesn't have a mouth (hence what cory said about the creature being more "predatory" than unnatural). This shows that the author played with the situation in such a way that it evokes a sense of childish innocence from the character, while also creating an uneasy environment to viewers (particularly older viewers, who understand that exposing oneself to a child is more concerning than a more visible feature such as a missing mouth.). Its like evoking two completely different aspects of human nature at once. It's pretty fascinating!

The fifth one reminded me of the game Among the Sleep. It had the same presence, a toddler fending off multiple “monsters” while collecting memories of his mother. The beginning of the game had an argument similar to the film and a stuffed toy to help them out. Just like the film, the mother was the monster the toddler was seeing due to her being an alcoholic. The toddler is taken by his father at the end.

Ya know.. something I noticed was… Cory has been working on his channel for over 10 years I would say, and in my opinion he has NEVER lost his classic feel in every video. For the fifth animation, there was a slight bit of foreshadowing involved in the first part of the video(where everything was peaceful). After the mother tells the child to go to bed there was a doll house where a police car outside, another soon arrives. This likely foreshadows the part of the video where police arrives to the house for the mother. Also if you compare the two clips, it some what matches each other.

The fifth one reminded me of the game Among the Sleep. It had the same presence, a toddler fending off multiple “monsters” while collecting memories of his mother. The beginning of the game had an argument similar to the film and a stuffed toy to help them out. Just like the film, the mother was the monster the toddler was seeing due to her being an alcoholic. The toddler is taken by his father at the end.
I'm pretty sure Cory played that one a few years back!

The broken bottles we see as the girl was picked up could mean she would drink her sorrows away and most likely abuse her daughter when she gets under these spells. For the fifth animation, there was a slight bit of foreshadowing involved in the first part of the video(where everything was peaceful). After the mother tells the child to go to bed there was a doll house where a police car outside, another soon arrives. This likely foreshadows the part of the video where police arrives to the house for the mother. Also if you compare the two clips, it some what matches each other.
