Wish I were there, can't be two places at once. You mentioned safety valve problems, but they were working on the air valve handle on the train line. Looks like someone put it on incorrectly because when they finished the handle was in the closed position and I assume it was in the open position to run the train.
Thanks Gary:) I was a little confused on the problems Skookum encountered that day. I thought It was the same problem but I was wrong. Niles Canyon really needs to be cautious with Skookum especially since its a newly restored steam locomotive.
Why not save California Western 46 from the Pacific Southwest Railroad Museum? Maybe 46 doubleheading with Clover Valley and Skookum, and then maybe it becomes a Mallet tripleheader.
The NCRY Steam Department have a lot in their plate right now and that includes: maintaining their two operating steam locomotives, keeping the privately owned Skookum running in good condition and restoring SP 1744. Sometimes doing too much things is a little too much for the steam crew but who knows:)
Doubleheader steam trains seems rare!
Especially when you see two Baldwin Mallets in one place:)
Wonderful video friend Alex you have earned one more subscriber. Greetings from Argentina!!!!!
Thanks:)
Nice catch of the 2 together. Cool to see you got those F units and the GP9 on the siding east of sunol too!
Thanks:) I was surprised to see some of the GGRM collection east of Sunol.
Niles Canyon needed space in Brightside.
I figured that Niles Canyon needed space for their collection and visitors.
Wow, this was absolutely amazing. Phenomenal video from start to end! I enjoyed every single second of it! Great work!!
