Mother Angelica said it best; I agree that there had to be an indisputable and palpable “presence” about Saint Joseph wherever he went with the Holy Family. I can’t even imagine the awesome responsibility of Saint Joseph who protected and cared for Jesus and Our Blessed Mother as he trusted the angel and took Mary into his home or escaped with them to Egypt during Herod’s reign of terror. .Father Calloway always does an amazing presentation about the way that Saint Joseph set the gold standard for all fathers and husbands to act. Thank you Father Chris for introducing us to Matt Birk and the Coakley family. May Paul rest in eternal peace. I am offering prayers for all the fathers, biological and foster, living and deceased especially for the wonderful one that God gave to me.

Why is Saint Joseph celebrated in March and May?

We only know it was before Jesus began his public life. Last year during Divine Mercy weekend Father Calloway had an interesting opinion. he commented that Saint Joseph died before the passion of Christ because he would have been a formidable force were he alive when Jesus was being subjected to the Passion. As he always protected the holy family, it makes perfect sense to me.
