I just tried it out. Black with medium brown to brown skin and it definitely has a white cast. It did go away after 30 mins I feel like most mineral sun teens or spf 50 leave a white cast regardless of the brand.
I've noticed mineral sunscreen boosts my skincare which I like. I'm learning to live with white cast by adding makeup. It's the zinc. No getting around the cast that I'm aware of. Was hoping this hybrid would be a possibility. Don't give "a pass." Either its up to par or not. They don't know what's working for the peoples if the peoples don't let them know:) Lavender and no fragrance on the same packaging makes no sense lol. Thanks for the interesting review 👍🏻
Usually makeup is an easy way to fix it but I hate wearing makeup with a mask 😭 I was trying to be as honest as possible without being too harsh but that’s hard to do if I just don’t like a product 🤷🏾♀️
I actually picked this up by accident thinking it was the original 30spf. I agree with everything you said. I am a lighter skin tone AA, and when I applied this I immediately felt this may be a problem for deeper skin tones.

I have medium neutral undertones in my skin. I have a hard time with combo or mineral sunscreens. Then there's tinted sunscreen that's too light or too dark. It's always a battle. It's exhausting.
@@benenon I'm using Cotz flawless complexion SPF 50 rn. I want to try the skinceuticals physical defense SPF. The Cotz turns a bit dark on my face which I find odd. Lol. I mean for winter it's ok. It's not my favorite for sure. Lol. UPDATE: my face is soooooo dry from the Cotz Flawless Complexion SPF. 😔

I honestly don’t think that they put enough thought into their ingredients. Anyone with sensitive skin or acne prone skin wouldn’t be able to tolerate this one or their regular sunscreen. I stayed away from it because the regular one has coconut oil derivatives in it. And if you are prone to acne, you stand a high chance of clogging your pores. And now this one, with lavender oil?!?! Lavender oil isn’t good for your the skin on your face. It screams irritation and acne.
I don’t understand why they didn’t use micronized zinc? Bummed they didn’t get the packaging right - seems like it isn’t a focus for them. I’ll stick with the kids version! Thanks for the review :)

Yes i gave it a good shake. I saw that video too but I don't agree with that kind of marketing since most people don't wear enough sunscreen anyways to reach the full SPF value
Does this one have the same dewy finish as the original one? I think the original one is too oily for me so I’m hoping this one would be a little less oily
@@benenon i find that it’s hard for me because my face would already be oily from the original sunscreen and reapplying would make it even more oily. Plus, it messes up my edges or creates a cast around my edges
but aren’t you supposed to reapply after 2 hours? I’ve found that it’s super hard and unrealistic to reapply every 2 hours because it messes up my edges

Check out Cotz mineral suncreens as 2 of them don't make a cast.

Didn't care for the "make it hybrid" white cast, didn't feel as nice as the original.
The white cast isn't bad though, I usually don't reapply because the white cast builds up.
