Great dive with lots of fish and life.
At Tjörn there is a really good dive site called Kåreviken. The bay is located in Rönnäng and offers really varied diving from all different levels. The depth varies from 2-30 meters. Starting from the "pool" follow the lead out to the first plateau of approx. 4m. From here, there are two paths to take. Left: Wall diving in plateaus down to approx. 30m. Right: plateaus, cairns of approx. 12-15m and finally wall down to 30 +. Marine life: Depending on the season, you can see Naked snails, crab bag, Lobster, Lobster, Cod, Rock gilthead, Stensnultra, seaweed and much more. The visibility is usually from 2-15 meters
Directions
Drive to Rönnäng on Tjörn. Turn into Kårevik, walk past the beach to the right of the car park and the little red house. Walk about 30m after the house and you are there.
Dive description
A natural harbor with a depth of about 3m, then if you follow the wires out of the hole it will be deeper. Nice drop offs down to about 30m. Some stone piles with lobster and much other vegetation.
To think of
Make sure you do not park in the way of anyone or that you take up space. Leave the place tidy so that no more diving bans are introduced.
Warning
When you walk in from the bay, you find the pipeline directly, but 3 meters out from land, the steel wire around the pipe has rusted off and formed sharp nails that go straight through the suit if you step on it.
På Tjörn finns det en riktigt bra dykplats som heter Kåreviken. Viken ligger i Rönnäng och bjuder på riktigt varierad dykning från alla olika nivåer. Djupet varierar från 2-30meter. Utgå från "bassängen" följ ledningen ut till första platån på ca.4m. Härifrån finns det två vägar att ta. Vänster: Väggdykning i platåer ner till ca.30m. Höger: platåer, stenrösen på ca. 12-15m och slutligen vägg ner till 30+.Marint liv: Beroende på säsong kan du här se Nakensnäckor, krabbtaska, Hummer, Trollhummer, Torsk, Berggylta ,Stensnultra, lövtång och mycket mer. Sikten brukar vara från 2-15meter
Vägbeskrivning
Kör till Rönnäng på Tjörn. Sväng in till Kårevik, gå förbi stranden till höger om parkeringen och det lilla röda huset. gå ca 30m efter huset och du är framme.
Dykbeskrivning.
En naturhamn med ett djup på ca 3m, sedan om du följer ledningarna ut ur gattet blir det djupare. fina dropp offs ner till ca 30m. En del stenrös med hummer samt mycket annan växtlighet.
Att tänka på.
Se till att ni inte parkerar i vägen för någon eller att ni tar upp plats. Lämna platsen städad så inte fler dykförbud införs.
Försiktig.
När man går i ifrån viken hittar man rörledningen direkt men 3 meter ut från land har ståltråden runt röret rostat av och bildat vassa spikar som går rakt igenom dräkten om du trampar på den.
