Thanks a million for this block of instructions. We are looking to get into the RV world and this information and how-to video is so very helpful. Thanks again!!!!
I believe that Steve is the very best source of information on any & all RVs he's reviewed. I've been following his reviews for over a year. I've always found his reviews to be the most I formative. Great job Steve. Thx so much.
Thank you John, I appreciate the feedback. Happy New Year - Steve
So glad to see Thor moved the generator to the rear compartment to avoid excessive heat recirculation near the chassis engine. Good informative video
I've had 8 RVs and in 25 years of Rving, this is the most comprehensive and informative video I've seen. Thank you!
Is it common to change RV that often? What happened?
Great video. We are currently vacationing in a family members 27.2 and the first time I went to dump the tanks I was confused by the 3 options. This video is so much better than the manual. I read the whole thing and it is too generic to be useful. Put this video as a QR code on the front of the manual.
My 6 and 4 year old are in the bunk. I am laying on the couch with my daughter that turned 2 today. We are going to be looking at 30' when we get back from this trip.
Happy birthday to her! Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. Enjoy the rest of your trip. - Steve
Extremely helpful as we are new owners of 2021 Thor ACE 30.4 THANK YOU!!
Great video! We have recently purchased a used ACE 2018 30.4, and this video taught us more than few things. Appreciate it!!
Thank you, we are glad you found it helpful. Safe travels. - Steve
So thankful for this video! We bought our first Thor 2015 30.2 (?). We had no instructions so this is important for us! Thanks!
FYI. On the 2018 ACE the slides will not operate with the engine running (safety feature). Engine has to be running for levelers, can’t be running for slides. Another note, auto level always seems to level way to high. Use the manual and you can get level in a much lower position. Overall I like my ACE 29.4.
That infocenter needs to be able to extend and swivel so that the copilot can play with it while the driver can concentrate on their driving
This is gonna be my first RV in few years.
Great info for learners really appreciated the extent of how to’s that were discussed!
Thanks for watching and taking the time to write. - Steve
By far the best RV video, so many details and tips shared and is applicable to any other RV....learned a lot today as a newbie. Thank you!!
Thank you for watching and taking the time to leave your thoughts, I do appreciate it. Take care, Steve
Great job! Just bought a hardly used ACE 29.5, learned so much info. Thank you
Hi Scott. Thanks for watching and for the feedback. We're glad you found it helpful. Happy travels - Steve
Excellent instructions, thank you.
Thanks for the feedback, we appreciate it. - Steve
Thank you, great walk through!
Excellent information great job
Time to upgrade the you tube videos for the new 2023 models!
Good and informative presentation
Thanks for watching Ruben. - Steve
Traded in a 2020 22 ft freedom elite just had it 7 months it was just to small drove it all the way to Elkhart 452 miles to get the 2020 ACE30.4 wish I had got it first but camping world in Nashville didn’t have any
What did you end up buying? My preference right now is no more than a 25 ft. I live alone my 33 year old son is single has a job so most of the traveling will be by myself. No pets seems I outlive them all.
@@rubennino1131 Interesting, we went from a 2020 Freedom Elite 22H to a 2021 THOR ACE 30.4, yes we made the transition. Seems like a typical transistion up the ladder
We went to Elkhart from Tn bought a 2020 ace 30.4 I just winterized it by blowing out with my air compressor drained the fresh and hot water tanks then bought the diverted and pumped in antifreeze got in all the lines but the hot water ones the antifreeze went into the hot water tank could not find how to get to the back of the water heater to see if it has a diverter valve it is all covered
Thanks! Is the black dump hose included on all models?
Where can you hook up a satellite receiver for the bedroom TV? is there a cable in the front cabinet where the DVD player is?
Great Video! Can you get a ACE with full body paint? I am concerned about delmanation graphic peeling ect. Also I have seen several used ACE that were not that old and the interior furniture is peeling. Have you improved the quality? Does the 2024 Ace offer a rear North and South Bed?
Are the graphics on the ACE decals, or paint? Last question: the roof, is it a solid piece of fiberglass like what Winnebago does?
Hi Brad. The A.C.E. graphics are decals and the roof is a one piece TPO. Thanks for the questions. - Steve
how is the A.C.E. at winter? im not asking for it to climb mountains in a blizzard, but can it be lived in 4 seasons with at home winterization? this style is everything im looking for!
Hi Gary. The main concern would be plumbing. The tanks are enclosed and heated but if you plan on spending a lot of time in below-freezing weather, you would want to add extra insulation to your plumbing system. You'll also want to follow the owner's manual for the motorhome and the Onan manual for operating the generator in cold weather. Thanks for the question. - Steve
@@ThorMotorCoach sounds like normal winter stuff. Thanks for reply!
I am a professional mechanical insulator. As long as getting to the lines isn't a trouble, insulating them alone is easy.
As long as it doesn't need heat tracing, it's easy job for me. Heat tracing I would need to call electrician most likely to run a line, or dedicated plug for it.
The only thing I’d say I’d disagree with in this entire video is one piece of advice where he said to use the outside water connection to winds the stinky slinky. I’ve heard that’s not really good EV etiquette but I’m new
So is most of this info appliclicable to us?
Hi Carolyn. Yes, most of what you see in the video will be the same. Items get updated from year to year but the basic operations are still the same. Thanks for the question. - Steve
Good video except when you started to explain manually leveling the coach so not to have the wheels off the ground.
Judas Priest! Eff yea!
Never purchase an RV!!!
