Listening to you “ramble on” thru the deck techs is probably my favorite part of your videos! You did call your channel “Timmy Talks” after all! Thanks for my daily dose of oooooooooooold school magic! 😎
Hi @WarhavenSC it is a general misconception that you can’t play with re-prints. You have the rule set that people play by and then you have the re-print policy. The Raging Bull Series is the only Swedish tournament that also follows the Swedish re-print policy in the Netherlands. You can find an overview of the tournaments here, ragingbullseries.com/index.php/events/ Maybe we’ll meet at one of these events 🙌
@@TimmytheSorcerer One day, I hope. I only dipped ever so briefly into the Netherlands during my trip to Germany. I hope to visit there (and France) much more extensively next time. 👍
I see your point with the dark rit, drawing that on turn 10 is practically a dead draw, but then again like you said pump it into a fireball, that’s a tough decision. At the end of the day I think I would still play with a playset, or at least 3 maybe take out 2 blood moons and leave them for sideboard, as multiples of those could be even more useless on late draws. Or leave bottle in the side and keep 2 moons. Makes me wonder if he had dark rits in game 2 after that nasty balance, would it have helped? Lol
I think the example he gives of StP on a Hippie is not the right one. That play has so much upside that the risk of an StP (about 40%, actually a bit less b/c it requires a white land too) or Bolt is worth it. If it sticks for a couple turns, you just win. It's when you go all-in on a big mana creature, like a turn 2 Juzam and get that StP'ed that you cry. That's when you re-evaluate Dark Ritual.
@@JD-gk7eh Mathematically sure they get a 2:1 if they StP your hippy, but knowing that 1 swords is gone is extremely valuable information so when you slam that turn 2 Juzam your odds of it sticking around for a few face punches is dramatically higher. Sometimes sacrifices are needed :)
This deck has so many 3 mana plays in a playset of hippies and a playset of sedge troll with blood moons, so much so that I almost like the dark ritual so that you unclog your 3 drops. With dark ritual you can curve out with turn 1 hypnotic turn 2 black knight turn 3 sedge turn 4 juzam and that much pressure would be hard to deal with, without getting chunked.
@@ibanezleftyclub I think there's less upside in the T2 Juzam versus the T1 Hippie, though. It is true that the Juzam wins the game in 4 turns if your opponent does nothing, but that seems unlikely. It's much easier to block and that 4 turns is likely to be more. Sure, you will also do some things in those turns but you do have fewer resources having used more to get the Juzam into play. A Hippie that hits twice and then dies is better than a Juzam that hits twice and then gets StP'ed, I think. Puts you further ahead.

True, thanks for letting me know 🙏🙌
Game 2 massive turn of events after the balance.....so good!!
🤩
Just more proof balance is one of the most powerfully broken cards in the game. And my god does it look good in Beta. 😍🥰😍
Great report. Beautiful decks. Good match. Well done!
🙌
Misplay with the blood moon being discarded instead of the hypnotic specter.
ICE ICE BABY ! 🤘🦁🤘
Are there Atlantic tournaments held in Netherlands as well for those of us with much more Revised cards than Alpha through Unlimited?
