HELP Please: Love this video, but still have a questions. What is the small metal device between the front windscreens, just below the manual compass, 2 red balls on both sides and a white ball in the middle? Is this some type of old school balance devise? Many thanks!
Requesting another break off landing please, much appreciate all the effort u guys do to bring these video's to us, very much enjoy them. Stay safe. Cheers Felix
PLEASE, can anyone tell me what the 2 red ball/1 white ball 'tool' or indicator are for that are deed-center when the view is directly out front of the windscreens, above the glare screens? They look like some type of balance indicator, but they look so primitive.
They are for setting the seat at the correct height. Each pilot adjusts their seat so that the red is lined up behind the white. That puts their eyes at the correct height..
@@jonluxon74 thank you very much for your answer. I much interested to become pilot. But I don't know what to do on that time when I was finished my school.

@@shahenajvaheed6867 thanks for your reply. On B744 most likely flap setting for T/O is 10 or 20 (15 is not an option). I understand that it is cost-benefit and operational reasons when deciding on flap setting. Just wanted to know what decided 10 instead of 20.
To lift the gear up requires hydraulics, and while it’s in the up position there is hydraulic power being supplied to the landing gear system, but once up mechanical up locks are engaged to lock the landing gear up. Switching the lever to the off position just removes the hydraulic power from the system and mechanical unlocks do all the work. I’m not a 747 driver so I could be wrong but pretty sure that’s correct..
I thought there are no Air brakes in 747. Because 737 has. Air brakes plays very important role if you go too fast during landing. Or we can use right after the touch down. Stops the aircraft quick.
Are you talking about 'flaps' and 'spoilers'? 'Air brakes' are used mostly during the descent phase (not landing) when ATC wants the aircraft to slow down and fly an assigned speed.
You are correct re landing but the same applies during take off. When extended, they do slow the plane if more thrust is not made but, more than that, the increased wing area caused by extending (lowering) the flaps and slats on the leading edge create more lift which allows the aircraft to fly slower and remain in the air. So, I know about flaps up and down. I don't know why there is an 'off' setting.
You need to respect the amount of responsibility these pilots have on their shoulders👍👍
From the cockpit, it doesn’t look like it’s going that fast. But from our seats, we’re on a rocket ship. How amazing
Please see tha all cockpit & control system also
Thanks for clearing this up. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the plane take off at like 20mph

If I was a pilot and there was a race going on, I would stay circling above until the race is over.
is it me or is hard to hear the engines rev up?
I felt as if I were in the cockpit.
Respect those pilots....
Good job ... being a pilot or a member of the Crew is as serious job as any other profession .... this example was errorless ... good job 😀👍
How would you know if any errors occurred or not?

It appeared to only be going like 40mph at takeoff
@Sea Life haha good one. A mixture of frame rate and how airports are set up. But it still looks crazy
Because cockpit is so high of the ground 200mph looks like 40mph.
Man it looks like they were going super slow when taking off
ikr??
I would have sworn he was going to run out of runway as slow as it was going. I was like 😬😱

Because you can use anything up to 15 your speed and trim changes depending on flaps and flaps depend on weight
