What sail rig type is used on the Hobie PA 14? Obviously it’s not a Hobie sail system, because that heavyweight PA is having no problem keeping up with, I’m assuming is, a Hobie Revolution, lol!

Hi, sorry for the late reply. The other kayak is a Hobie Island. The PA14 can keep up only in light winds. Once it starts blowing, the Hobie Island leaves the PA behind.
The sail is a Giant Star sail by starkayaksails.com/. Beautifully made sail by a guy by the name of Bill Pain in Australia. The size is around double the surface area of a standard Hobie Kayak sail which is much needed to push the brute of a PA14 kayak along.
