Also, in the first few seasons, they foreshadowed Eren wanting to believe in himself to overcome an obstacle but was always restrained because of his allies wanting him to trust and believe in them, which usually ends in chaos and despair. Eventually he became independent, confident and strong enough to keep moving forward in order to achieve HIS goals.

And considering that Hizuru itself is at the forefront of aerial tech w/their flying boat it’s not as if Paradis will be left behind in terms of tech after that timespan.

He did it to free the world of that "curse" and to free his people from the hate, i think a lot of people miss this fact. The ending wasnt just a cute "let me save my friends", eren did a whole lot more. but that being said i agree that his actions cannot be excused, he killed so many people... but that was the only way i guess
