    James ya know how you normally say you cant get peoples hair from a level 1 to a 10 in one sitting, well i was watching guy tang and his big 9 mixed to 1 x 1 half lifted a level 1 asian hair to a 10 in one sitting, it was amazing

      It is amazing as is Jack martin however in scientific terms it's taking hair to the cliff edge and not taking into account the much bigger picture..these are as follows ..destroying the 18 MEA lipid layer which makes the strand hydrophilic rather than hydrophilic leading to hygral fatigue. The uv radiation damage plus blow-dry and heat treatments thereafter. Possible swimming, salt water and the list goes on. The hair story never ends once the person leaves the salon and I believe it shouldn't be taken to the cliff edge structurely and scientifically in one sitting because of the variables...

      Rather than hydrophobic

      It had to affect the integrity of his clients hair though. There is no way around that. I will not take someone from even a level 4 to a level 10 in one sitting for that very reason.

      @@jameslipke354 April I believe that's the best step forward in most cases. This isn't incompetence but rather scientific knowledge and the bigger picture insight

    I feel like this is quite common when dealing with Asian hair, more resistant, pigmented, long processing hair. The sections can't be too thick nor too thin as it takes longer application time and way longer for it to lift. Besides the mixing ratio, I almost see nothing out of the ordinary as a stylist working in Asia, most of the time the hair can take it (with products like olaplex) although there is always bound to be different outcomes of course. I agree though that it is not safe to bring a level 1 to 10 in one sitting.

    Truth is hairstylists are in the game of creating hair damage albeit strategic and well thought out damage

    Spotted that a mile off
    Not enough bleach applied and mix way to much developer.

    I didn't see a video on the topic of natural red hair, specifically dark red in my case, so I'm asking about it in these comments. Why is it that no matter what color I put in my hair you can still see the red shine through quite noticably? Even with black and blue black.

    Baby hairs are not all from breakage they are often genetic. That is just a ridiculous misconception that's both insulting to the person getting their hair done and the hair stylist.

    As a hairstylist this is painful to watch 😅

    The saturation here is abysmal

  • @jameslipke354
    @jameslipke354 Рік тому +1

    She's not using enough bleach, her saturation is far too skimp and the weave is too heavy. I'm not sure where she came up with her ratio either🤨. She said she did babylights the last time her client was there. To me it didn't look that way. Thanks James!
