2:39 move is a one hit kill, but it leaves you open to attacks, so the devs added the 2:42 move to trick them & counter. The level of detail in this game is phenomenal.

I had NO idea that there was a combination of the spinning with the suicide stab ... EPIC. MUST use that. The one thing I didn't see showcased here though was his CLONE THROW. Quite possibly his coolest move.

If you could perform his helicopter blade move in the arcades or for that matter ANY move that involved using his sword, then you were awesome. I guess Yoshimitsu was Namco's way of experimenting with that part of the game (Yoshimitsu was used for experiments a lot by the devs. Namco straight up admitted his weirder moves were the results of the motion team messing around with strange animations). And thanks to the concern of balancing, the moves he had that did use it were a bit slow or leave him open afterwards (I could only ever use Wood Cutter as a combo ender lol). In Tekken 6, they had the brilliant idea of not only making the sword blockable to let him use it more, but he also got a second one. You see him in Tekken 8 now and he has a lot of sword moves.
Isn't there a move where he sidesteps around, grabs the back and spins into the air and lands the opponent on his head 🤔 Not the spinning side step but a literal side step
yo bro it was so long time ago i played this game and played as yoshimitsu, i didnt know the buttons to do a yoshimitsu secret move he separates his shadows into 4 shadows like naruto ,those shadows prick the opponent together i was mad with my friend got lost streak so i really didnt know how to do it i pressed many buttons when i played ca u find it the special move of yoshimitsu?

I'd like to know what you're trying to say, but I'm not quite following. Yes, in older fighting games some combos only work against specific characters, if that's what you're wondering.
@@tonitoniversus I think I was just goofing the combos up, but what I meant is one of the attacks hits the enemy too far away and the next hit of the combo doesn't land, but again, I believe this was a mistake on my part lol
I want to get this out there before this information disappears forever. There is a secret move on Tekken 3 in which Yoshimitsu clones himself and surrounds the opponent and all stab at the same time, I keep searching to see if anyone knows about it but find nothing, it is probably worth mentioning it was in his forest but idk if that would make a difference. Call it BS I don't care, I know what I saw and I never pulled that move off again, I was a bit of a button spamming cheater so I guess that's why I couldn't repeat it, I only tried a few times to pull it off again but I got bored and moved on. Hope someone discovers this to be accurate one day and proves me right, makes me wonder if there were other secret moves for the other players.
0:26 not going to bother including the extended input? 0:39 after a juggle was always so much fun against the cpu because they would try to get up but you'd keep slamming them down ;p 0:52 during a sidestep was a lot of fun. You could use it over and over and then confuse the other player when you did a throw. 1:00 won't do additional damage if you turn right away. Looks really cool when you land a counterhit on someone's back. Or their sides. 1:56 you don't show his standing health gain charge up? (3:29 oh there it is, I think there's two versions of health restore? One where you gain a bit more?). 2:20 Oh noooooooo, we can't see it!!!!! T____T 3:33 no full version demonstrated? Good stuff.

The enemy takes too much knock back and that ends a lot of the combos. Is this just against Lei or is there something else wrong?

So uh I have the arcade version and are you able to translate the moves to that
Left Punch, Right Punch, Left Kick and Right kick are the same for the arcade version as well.
Always want to know how to do that head grab move that sucks out health from opponents.
