      @@juliettelee5243 I’m glad it helped. Needless to say, it’s been rather confusing and people who are requesting the pass are having mixed results too.
      I made an earlier video explaining the security areas as well (and QR code - before certain venues had changes) here

    so we DONT need the pass after the 26th? Thanks

    • @frenchcrawl
      @frenchcrawl  Місяць тому

      For the most part correct, you won’t need it.
      The main reason after the 26th is you were traveling in a motorized vehicle through any red zones. All passengers require a Pass Jeux and Taxis won't pick you up if you don't have one and need to access red areas in a car.
      Otherwise, you can access those red areas on foot or bike without issue.

    Thanks a lot for all this information. Helped me a lot. By the way, I've received a qr code, but here's thing: I applied for me and my wife and received only one qr code. Is it only one qr code for application? Regardless of how many people you applied for?

    • @frenchcrawl
      @frenchcrawl  Місяць тому

      You are like the third person who has told me when they applied for two people they only got one code back. So I'm not sure what they're doing (it's been such a confusing process for everyone). Did you use two emails or just submit one application? I think one person told me they found a QR in their partner's spam folder when applying for the two of them.
      Check out this reddit thread where some people shared their experience: www.reddit.com/r/olympics/comments/1dyr9fm/comment/lcaxq2m/?
      Also, one of them said they had success reaching out and asking directly about their pass. They used the email: support@pass-jeux.gouv.fr
      They wrote:
      "This is the email I used: support@pass-jeux.gouv.fr When I wrote them I included the confirmation number of the application. Last I wrote to them was this past Sunday and, maybe coincidence, but received at least two of our 4 QR codes. So who knows, right? 😊. Hope this helps!"
      Maybe confirm with them so you have some peace of mind.

      Thanks again for your help. About my wife's qr code, it's solved. What happened was that they sent the qr code to her e-mail but no at the same time as mine, they sent it a couple of days after.
      About the support e-mail you mentioned, I belive it's gonna be usefull for another issue: I made several applications in the same day, so I received several qr codes without the name or the site they refer to. Now I don't know which qr code I should use for each place😂

      @@user-ld2tj5th9x That’s so frustrating! Was the museum able to give any help or advise? I hope maybe you can reapply and get it somehow.

    Hi. What's happening at the Trocadero that's not happening on the Seine? Why would the spectators seating are along the Seine in the seating chart? Just curious because those seats were what were sold to the ticket holders.

    • @frenchcrawl
      @frenchcrawl  Місяць тому

      @@DTOC888 the Seine will be where the parade of nations will take place, it’s a six kilometer journey along the Seine.
      At Trocadéro the artistic performance will take place. Tickets were sold by category, with a map showing which section of the Seine they were at.
      I’m not sure how to get tickets at Trocadéro since Section A isn’t guaranteed to be there, but it was possible.
      Maybe the Hospitality site for the Olympics could guaranteed it. It’ll be the most expensive ticket to be in that area I’d imagine.

      @@frenchcrawl Thank you for your reply. Yes, the tickets sold for the event only has seating along the Seine, but I feel like that's unfair for people who would had paid for the expensive tickets to be missing out of the performance at the Trocadéro. If it was in a stadium, people would get the normal full experience. Only getting to experience a portion of what you paid full price for it's cool in my book.

    I have one question am i able to use the QR code freely around perimeter once its accepted or i can only just use it one time to my reservation address only?

    • @frenchcrawl
      @frenchcrawl  Місяць тому

      That's a good question. From what I've understood, the Pass is tied directly to the reservation you requested it for. As for walking around freely once you're inside, I'd imagine you can until someone says otherwise? But I cannot confirm how that'll work with security and blocking of streets.
      As for using it aside from your reservation, I'm not sure. I think residents (and people staying temporarily) and workers have a different type of pass to have access for longer period of time. But people have said they had to request a pass for each individual activity. And at times they have combined the activities into one pass if they're within a period of time in the day.
      Otherwise, some things they've written are: parisjetaime.com/eng/article/paris-2024-games-practical-guide-district-by-district-a1706
      "From 18 to 26 July 2024, in preparation for the Opening Ceremony, access to the banks of the Seine will be restricted. For everyone, a Games Pass is compulsory to access the grey area around the Seine. From 20 to 26 July 2024, there will be no river activities on the Seine.
      The upper and lower quays will gradually be closed to the general public, with access maintained for residents and establishments open to the public."
      And here: www.paris.fr/en/pages/moving-around-paris-during-the-olympic-games-get-your-games-pass-27063
      "WARNING : Games Passes will not be granted if you simply need to cross a perimeter.
      This free and personal QR code will be your pass to getting through access points around these perimeters. Identity checks and bag searches will be operated by police and security forces.
      All individuals over 13 years of age must be acquire a Games Pass (even if they are in a vehicle).
      Reasons for access (residence, work, delivery, breakdown service, moving house, medical appointment, etc.) must be justified during registration and acquisition of a pass.
      A Games Pass can cover the entire Olympic and/or Paralympic period (for local residents, business professionals, delivery personnel, etc.) and can be used on a one-off basis for certain users (visitors, short stays)."
      If I hear anything else I'll follow up. I think we'll know more once people start accessing these areas with their passes starting on the 18th.

    Hello our Airbnb is located in the gray zone..Do you know how long it should take for the Pass Juex to get approved? We applied once and it was denied a few days after.. We applied again and it's been almost a week and havent heard anything. From my understanding if we don't get this figured out we will not be able to stay in our Airbnb that we paid thousands for. You can read her experience on the thread as well. She's been able to get some of her passes. Hopefully airbnb and the host can be of some assistance too. Definitely nothing to scoff at knowing how pricey it is during this time.
