- An Australian actor, who took a break from Hollywood to advocate for Israel in the wake of the October 7 attacks, has accused the local pro-Palestinian movement of “hypocrisy”.
In his only Australian interview, The Vampire Diaries star Nate Buzolic told Sky News that “Palestinian propagandists” have the advantage of most of the country having “very little understanding about Israel and they want you to stay in that world of ignorance.”
Buzolic starred in the hit US television series and its spinoff The Originals, gaining an online following of millions.
The actor now uses his huge platform to counter rising antisemitism.
As a Jew I was horrified with Australia respond to the horror of October 7 .. and then came Nate . Ty Nate for being a voice for reason and Justice . Ty for standing with us at such a dark time
I am not Jewish, and I too am horrified by what is happening in this country. I continue to be appalled and disgusted, both by the Government’s response (especially Albanese and Wong) but also the large public support of terrorism . It’s as if the slaughter and the continuing hostage situation just doesn’t matter because “it’s only Jews”. I now look around me in the street wondering if some of the people I pass are supporters of Hamas, Oct 7, and the annihilation of all Jews. I am almost afraid to talk about it with some of my friends and colleagues in case I find out that they are not the people I thought they were. I never thought that this could happen again after WW2. Oct 7 has changed me, even though I was not there on that day. I stand for, and with, Israel and against the bitter hatred of Jews.

Many of us do stand with Israel! My Finnish Australian family pray weekly for Israel. Its always the minority activist screaming the loudest but most of my family and friends see through the lies as well.

Nevertheless, as an older person I followed the series incidentally. The best episodes had almost 6 million viewers, but there are of course many more people who saw the series later.

My grandfather served in the British army when it occupied Israel after the First World War and the fall of the Ottoman Empire. He was stationed in Jerusalem in 1922 when it was a barely inhabited crumbling wasteland. Nobody cultivated anything, most of the inhabitants were nomadic rather than permanent. Its only value at the time was strategic access. That’s the main reason why the Jewish people were allowed to live there after World War Two: because most people thought it would be a constant struggle for them to survive.
Now that the land has become productive again and the country is prosperous thanks to their ingenuity and tenacity (plus maybe something about a covenant with God)… now suddenly it’s the “ancestral home” of the previous group of colonists. The Ottoman Empire was never indigenous to Gaza.
So.. You are saying the thousands of Jews migrated from Germany in 1947,those who were in so much fear as impact of Holocaust, were supposed to be the savior of these supposedly nomadic people? They must be hella saviors to leave the crumbs of Gaza and West Bank for the Palestinians.

I am sorry but i dont agree with nate isreal is the one causing all these problems it was bombing palestine ever sense it stole land and that us a really long time what hamas did wasnt an act of terrorism but an act of self defense every one has the right to defend himself his land and his religion isreal is the liar and killer and also theif because it stole the land that belongs to the palestine therefore the land that is called is isreal is actually palestine and by the way isreal bombed other countries other than palestine for example lebanon and my country Egypt they bombed port said and sinai and killed people so there you go that is the truth about isreal
And i have one thing to say isreal is not a real country
