I am always at the edge of my seat when the bus passes through these passes. They ate extremely narrow, called snake bends and only enough room for a bus to turn without bumping onto traffic
Drivers driving in hilly areas are extremely skilled. If you see Himachal state bus drivers it's almost similar as the roads are dangerous but never do they flinch!

Nothing at all like riding the WWII era Philippine Victory Liner buses in the late 60s - early 70s thru the jungles on dirt, and up/down mountain roads looking straight down a thousand feet from the side windows while vendors rode with nothing holding them in up on the top. I was in one between Cavite and Baguio careening around a long blind jungle curve down a mountainside at 45mph and the bus hit a huge caribao nearly killing the driver who had spent all morning nearly killing us....
Good driver. So glad I drive automatic. Only wild thing is they wear no seatbelts. Also hitting the horn in the curve does the oncoming traffic hear it.
That road reminds me of the "Tail of the Dragon" 🐉 (US 129) road at Deals Gap, North Carolina... The Dragon has 318 curves in 11 miles of pavement! Motorcyclist love it...
Lots of cyclists think they can ride until they crash gloriously on The Tail, showing off or exceeding their riding abilities 😬😒 Lots of fail videos-cars too

Karnataka state RTC bus crew are very decent, courteous, helpful and punctual....
