Tracking down random pieces of art is tricky, but the best option I can find is a piece of Deviant Art by Sunsetagain titled Jamaica Inn. Posted just over 11 years ago, so it's probably the original.
Thank you I’m glad you liked it! I’ve been wanting to change the setup for a little while now and the new year plus the new equipment was the perfect time!
Thank you I appreciate it! Between you and me the mic is actually the same but the arm for it is new. I finally have enough distance to get away from my computer fans running in the background lol!
This is such a fun build , love the concept I like the execution, not a build I would have thought of. With us getting spoilers for the new monster manual, was hoping you can do a build based on my favorite monster the displacer beast. 2024 rules single class using the trickery domain cleric.
Yea I can definitely do a Displacer Beast-esque build! There are a couple monster builds in the works for the release of the MM, I will add it to them!
I’ve been playing a human warlock with a similar focus on versatility, though I’ve leaned a little bit away from the focus on magic initiate and more into the skilled feat to patch holes in the party composition. Also went with Archfey, as getting all of those free Misty Step casts along with the extra riders gives you a lot of options for mobility and control. Really cool to see how you had a similar idea but built it with a lot of different specific choices.
Nice that sounds like a really fun character! I was tempted to use Archfey as well for those extra Misty Steps but decided to keep the build more of a "back-line, book wielder" instead of adding the extra mobility but I can see it being really fun in practice!
@@ExploringtheBuild For sure! Only level four right now but really excited to see where it goes, I was also planning on grabbing levels in lore bard so it was exciting to see you take that route. Earned a follow!
Thanks for the cool build ideas. Love the videos. I had an interesting concept that I was trying to figure out a build for, if it interests you. Tentatively, I’m calling him the “grasshopper“ or the “jumping spider”. I thought it would be really cool to have the warlock’s otherworldly jump on a monk. Imagine being able to leave and J Jones anywhere on the battlefield. But I haven’t yet figured out how to make the odd combination work, or if there are any synergies, it could be incorporated. How might you take advantage of being able to leap 30 feet in any direction every round?
Ooh I can definitely take a look and add that to the list. I think a jumper type of bike would be really fun! Off the top of my head I can see monk and Warlock being good, but even just taking the Speedy feat to impose permanent disadvantage on opportunity attacks against us may be all we need. Perhaps throw a bit of push in there too so you can leap frog over an enemy and send them into your team. I’ll have to take more of an in-depth look though!
Hmm... are you sure Epic Boons are available when you reach Tier 4? From what I'm seeing in the player's handbook, it is only available when you reach 19th level on both the Bard and Warlock classes, I don't think the prerequisite of being 19th level applies to the overall character level in this case, but it could be a matter of RAI vs RAW.
That’s a great question, and I thought that as well initially. I’ve had a few other comments/seen discussion online that the reasoning you can take two is because they are still feats, and the only prerequisite is being 19th level overall. Because they are still technically feats they still follow the Category rules found under the feat section: “Category. A feat is a member of a category, which is noted in the feat. If you’re instructed to choose a feat from a specific category, such as the Origin category, that category must appear under the feat’s name. If you’re instructed to choose a feat and no category is specified, you can choose from any category.” So because our usual ASI levels say: “You gain the Ability Score Improvement feat or another feat of your choice for which you qualify.” That means that as soon as we hit character level 19 we can start taking Epic Boons regardless of whether or not we reach that level in a class. Since no category is specified so we can choose from any category, and we meet the prerequisite. Obviously, DMs can rule otherwise which is totally fine but rules as written it is perfectly good to go!
Isn't it fascinating how customizable, front-loaded, and overpowered this class is? One might think that it should be one of the more rare classes due to the whole pact matter, but it's quite the opposite. Everyone has Oprah Winfrey as their patron.. and you get a pact, and you get a pact, and you get a pact.. It is truely mind-boggling 😂
i'm trying to make a build mixing Gloomstalker and rogue to recreate the Skyrim experience of an Stealth Archer, but i don't know the best way to do it. Can you add it to the list please? i prefer the 2024 rules. Bows, crossbows and guns are accepted
Ok build idea ! chef. Chef feat of course. What class ? What subclass ? Has to be a chef ... No race constraints... Can include 2014 | 2024 stuff. Needs to come online quickly. The adventure ends at 11th level. Would prefer not to use halfing hospitality..seems too easy.
no please stop with the chromatic orb, it sucks. Wizard have so many great level 1 spell to pick, why pick the bad one? unless you grab pact of the chain, find familiar is awesome If you do grab pact of the chain, detect magic will save you an invocation you also know I hope, that agonizing blast eldritch blast is no longer considered "good damage" you can check Treantmonk video for more info Thwn Epic boons... for a spellcaster, boon of fate is BIS. why? boon of recall is basically 25% chance to regain a level 4 or under spell slot at level 19... it's sucks. Boon of fate, once per initiative roll, you can reduce the saving throw of the target of your big fight turning spell by 2d4, on average by 5 points. And what sound more like occult knowledge then the guy who can change your FATE just by looking at you? and boon of FATE is super versatile being useful for more then just your spells.

Wow that is awesome! Kudos to you for tracking that down. Do you mind if I pin the comment in case anyone who is curious wants to find it?
@@ExploringtheBuild not at all 👍
A quick kudos to you trying your best to credit the various artists that make dnd such an inclusive, immersive and wholesome game.
I like this new standing angle.

This is a very similar build I did for a John Constantine-esque build I did.
Funny enough I did have Constantine in mind for inspiration! I just don't know the character well enough to have completely based it off him.
@@ExploringtheBuild I started him as a Lore Bard then after level 6 he took a few levels in Warlock then moved back to Bard.

ETB is correct. Only prerequisite is level 19. Dnd beyond allows it as well ✌🏻

Absolutely! That would be a fun build to try out, I can definitely add it to the list.
So i had the funny idea of a noir detective type character who uses telepathy to monologue to the party. So I'm looking for a detective build.
Haha that is amazing I can certainly add that to the list. Did you have a preference between 2014 or 2024 rules?
@ExploringtheBuild no preference, also not sure if i want to go magic or not. I think using magic would be more interesting.
