Reminds me of the good old Crew Chief days in the Army. We always monitored the comms in order to prepare for quick turnarounds and for emergencies. So luckily, i've already accumulated the skill of Radio Discipline. By the way guys, don't just say repeat, say "say again or repeat last transmission". In case the last transmission wasn't understood. Reason why, is that repeat is for the artillery guys when told to shoot at the same coordinates that was last given again.
@@colninny8769 got it. I'm navigationally challenged lol. Actually the navigation part is really fun since I work on the water in real life but in game the navigation process has to be a lot quicker than IRL on the water.
Thank you, Jordi. Since then the SRS integration on Combat Box has become an essential part of the game play, alerting pilots to areas underattack requiring assistance. More immersion :)
That was a nice match up of controller accent to British Spit. I wonder if that's the case with other nationalities. Overdue to try this. Nice vid, thank you!
The German controller presently is a woman who sounds very plausible giving her spiel in English. There is a voice recognition system on SRS so in time other voices could be added. I don't know how, but chat with Sketch or Alonzo
Good info! What's the list of available callsigns? I want to match my plane tail markings and my in-game name to the radio callsign so people can easily ID.
It doesn't quite work that way. The callsigns are listed on the website under the SRS info. You will need a new one every. Best way to ensure you get the same one is to be the first on the new server and request it. You could paint your aircraft with "Voodoo" for example as an identifier, but be prepared to be voodoo 3 or 4 if the others are taken. If a call sign is taken the Bot will suggest another one.
@@Avetorro nope. I am not the best gut to ask on that. Go on the CB discord and ask the question. Basically you can only see custom skins you have downloaded. But some severs might support it, You'd have to upload all their skins to see them. sorry

Yes, what turner says! Comms 101: Who are you? Where are you? What do you want? Now get off the channel! :)
I just started to venture into multiplayer and just found this. This is awesome!!! Thanks for the video!
MUltiplayer is the best experience. Join a group, you'll live longer, and enhance the experience.
Outstanding video! I definitely havent been utilizing srs like I should
Thank you. As the Bot evolves I'm sure its capabilities will have more value added to the experience.
@@colninny8769 its kinda like how cliffs of dover was. You could even get vectors to the nearest enemy planes which was really nice
@@colninny8769 this is really cool.
One thing though, what if you are lost? What would you say?
@@catocall7323 the bot needs to know your grid to give you an accurate vector home. If you are lost take a best guess at your gridsquare...

Very clear explanations as usual Col!

That was the most helpful video I’ve seen on srs, thanks!
Great to hear that, but check our Sketch's SRS vids as well
Well done! Simple and straightforward video!
Thank you Glauber :)

Why are there so many channels? What do they do? And how do you know what channel you're on in game?
Look at the links I gave on how to change channels. We use only ch 1 and ch 2 in CB but your team your choose to use a separate one.
Thank You!
You're welcome, di
Cool! Grazie 🇮🇹
I think so, too. Such an amazing game. This just adds to it.
can you bind radio 1 or 2 selection to jostick instead of mouse?
I'm sure you can, though if you can't ask on the forum

Very helpful. But as an old gent, modern tech can be worrisome. I just hope that SRS wasn’t designed by Skynet.
Just follow sketch's directions. Even I can figure it out :)
Do you know how to make IL2 CoDB w/ Tobruk work on my cpu ?
Sorry, I don't play that one. It should work the same as BoS. Go to the IL-2 forum and someone will help with your issue.
