I find the no terastallising and no items rules weird, cause in the anime Cynthia mega evolves Garchomp (Meaning she's not opposed to gimmicks like you seem to think she would be), and she very much uses items
To be fair, he's already Cynthia who is one of the strongest trainers to date. Terastallization would make it too easy. The no items rule is just a natural rule of any hardcore challenge because you could easily use items to beat pretty much the entire game.
You know, when you mentioned the whole legendary thing with Arven, of it being the god of big jump it made me realize something. Koraidon and Miraidon aren't big godly pokemon and... When you actually think about it, aren't even actual legendaries because they're ancestors and future versions of Cyclizar, a completely normal pokemon. So, whenever they're from they're just your average everyday pokemon. Kinda reminds me of how Lucario used to be thought of as a mythical pokemon because of his rarity but really was just another ordinary pokemon. Granted, in this case, they at least still qualify as legendaries given circumstances. Just kinda neat when you think about it.
Yeah though what I find weird about them not being actual legendaries is if that's the case then why were sada/turo only able to bring 2 over but every other paradox pokemon there seemed to be no limit.
@@Shape430 Actually, it's explicitly stated in game that the professor was only ever to bring over 2 of each of the paradox pokemon. Why the game tells you this when you just walked past like 50 of them I don't get. Might be referring specifically to the ones they brought over when they were alive or it may just be an inconsistency the devs ignored for the sake of not locking you out of getting a few of these non-legendaries to train up.
@@RiveroftheWither I'm more so referring to the fact that the general classification of a legendary is that there's usually only one in existence. The exception to this being Celebi but that's the same Celebi just from several other timelines. Though with the way the time machine is talked about it sounds like they're pulling them from the same timeline each time and the fact that they are confirmed to be past and future versions of Cyclizar. Very few legendaries are gods in general in all fair honesty.
They could’ve died out in the future so there were only a few ones left alive and maybe the past ones were very strong but they evolved to be smaller and weaker to be able to hide from some other predator

Would have been interesting to see what the substitute for the Pokémon she couldn’t have would have been. As I fully doubt she would have not adapted her team to suit whatever region she was going to conquer. Likewise it would be interesting to see what of the new Paldea Pokémon she would have used.

Seeing you not Terastalize was...a struggle. Anime Cynthia Mega-evolved her Garchomp and Dynamaxed her Togekiss. If she was in Paldea, she'd most definitely Terastalize. Yes it's meant to be a challenge, but it's weird you didn't let your character do that since you went by anime Cynthia rules in the past. Also, you could've gotten Glaceon MUCH earlier in the game if you simply went to the Dalizapa Passage before Cortondo as there's an Ice Stone on a cliff that you could've reached. I love Larry's Gym. Not just because he's Larry, but also the idea an eatery can be a Gym as Medali is the foodie city. Not to mention the Gym test have trainers going on a wild goose chase so he could eat in peace. I was watching this and I knew the early game would be very difficult. Since the pokemon used are weak until fully evolved, then they become POWER HOUSES after the fact. I haven't seen the rest of it since Iono yet and intend to watch the rest. But I predict the later stages will be much easier.
It's not a one to one, but the Paradox pokemon are like time-Ultra beasts, and Koraidon and Miraidon are like a concept fusion between Lunala/Solgaleo, and Latios/Latias.
Look I caught, what I like to personally call, a Sparkling Garchomp that’s turns into a Water type. I *DUSTED* the Paldea’s No-So-Elite 4 and their Paper Champion to *SHREDS!!* Cynthia will survive.
That's a really fun way to cosplay a character! Without a Nuzlocke, but with the challenge of not using items (despite the fact that the real challenges come after the main game and in dlc, but still a lot of fun). I may think of cosplaying some character just to avoid my "OHH THAT'S A *insert pokémon name*, I want'em in the team" for every pokémon in the game. And people complains about dex, but literally in today pokémon games you have WAY more pokémon to chose. Before there was only the bank and trading with imaginary friends (so no trading) so it wasn't really fun completing the pokédex or build an unusual team (I'm watching you base Pokémon DP team, it's not that trainers have no fantasy, it's just that there are so few pokémon and only 2 fire types)
I wanted to play violet on easy mode so, I soloed everyone with swords dance garchomp Jolly, Thats why cynthia is OP, she has good coverage, good tank, good attack and GARCHOMP is a menace on steroids. A real champion

If Cynthia invited Ryme to Sinnoh's League to roast Cynthia's opponents when they reach Cynthia's chamber, they'd be a perfect combo. I like how each of the characters you meet along your journey from Nemona to the Team Star bosses and the Gym leaders are named after plants. Nemona comes from the genus Nemophila or baby blue eyes, Larry comes from spotted laurel (his Japanese name is Aoki, which means spotted laurel), Grusha is the Russian word for pear, Mela in Italian means apple, to name a few.
So what I'm getting out of this is that, had you used the obvious strategies from the beginning, like the gible dragon claw thing, her loss counter would have been at 0.
This is the problem I have with this. I agree Cynthia wouldn't intentionally handicap herself. She like any good Pokemon Trainer would use anything and everything at her disposal. That means no Pokemon is off limits and so on. This is why she's the strongest champion, not because of how op her team but because of how much she loves Pokemon and helping others understand what they are doing wrong in the raising and training of their Pokemon.

I was doing a grass type challenge and at the start of the game when I was going through the very first route right after I caught Lechonk(The catching tutorial), I found a shiny Hoppip, Lucky I guess.
Um... no question as to which of Cynthia's Pokemon is my favorite. It's the Pokemon that as soon as Ash got, he became world champion in the anime: Lucario. Besides, Lucario is a member of my current Pokemon Scarlet team, as well as Garchomp
tbf shinies in this game are not in any way a struggle, you're basically guaranteed to get whatever one you want with 2 hours of searching, and that's WITHOUT any buffs

Iono's mismagius has only two attacking moves - Hex and Charge Beam. Which can dodge by normal type Eevee and Ground type Gabite. So, switching method until mismagius ran out all attacking moves.😂🔥. Good strategy!!👅

The really funny part about Lucario's confusion luck? In Generation 6 onwards, the confusion hit yourself chance was reduced from 50% to 33%. He really was getting terrible luck there. Poor Lucario...
This LITERALLY reminds me of Shining Pearl. Both of those final bosses seem/are hard to beat. Trust me, I've battled Cynthia with my somewhat-avian team. It's IMPOSSIBLE!

There are more legendaries that aren't God's then ones that are, just strong and rare Pokemon. So they're pretty typical of legendary Pokemon.

tbf shinies in this game are not in any way a struggle, you're basically guaranteed to get whatever one you want with 2 hours of searching, and that's WITHOUT any buffs
@@BeetleBuns I actually had 0 luck with sparkling sandwiches, i found all of my shinies in mass outbreaks or just random encounters. Kinda weird 🤔
@@staicu2295 damn, that's insane lol... I haven't gotten far enough in the game for the sandwiches or charm yet, but my longest shiny hunt was 2-ish hours for a larvitar, and that's only because I set up a picnic at the exact moment one spawned in and had to start the hunt all over again xD
Iono's mismagius has only two attacking moves - Hex and Charge Beam. Which can dodge by normal type Eevee and Ground type Gabite. So, switching method until mismagius ran out all attacking moves.😂🔥.

Damn, that’s crazy I’ve been looking for a shiny toxtricity like the last 3 days ughh, 😩 I’ve been using sandwiches and spamming their spawn in the cave where they usually spawn at too and I’ve seen hundreds of them and still nothing 😢
I found one during my playthrough pretty early and got to incorperate it into my run. Named him Pink Guy
