Dr McWilliams is just a well of knowledge. Thank you Dr Wampold for your questions! As a recent MA graduate of Psychology from a Psychoanalytic university it was so refreshing and invigorating to hear of practical applications of psychodynamic theory/approaches within the session - It's exactly what I've missed in my education.
Thank you for this video. Great opening question. I'd have responded to that popular opinion more forcefully, arguing that any mental health professional who would dismiss analysis or analytic-oriented therapy as anachronistic is simply operating from bias, is ill-informed about recent developments in analysis, and/or is not a true clinician.
Thank you for viewing and commenting. @seymourtompkins what recent developments in analysis should the community be aware of? I'm sure other viewers will have other evidence to support your opinion too.
Why don’t you bring Gabor Mate as a guest, his understanding of human Psychology is as important as a psychologist, and his observation is much needed in your profession.
Amazing interview! Congrats!
Nancy Williams is making me want to go back for my masters. What an amazing patient advocate and clinician!
