Well done Jon, you do that far better than me. I hate the drop in on mine so tend to go roll down the bigger section the the left... I'm going to have to stop wussing out. A great watch, with far more tumbles than normal... But you should be pleased with that 👍
Nice job. Your muscle memory started to kick in. Carving tight pockets without kick turns is a lot of fun. I ride 93a 64mm dragons with my CX set up, no risers.
Great video! I just got a Dogtown Carver with CX trucks second hand. Rode it for the first time today, man I can feel the leg burn! I got a long way to go before trying it in a bowl.
I'm still scared by surf skates 😅😅 Catch 22 for me back up north again thinking about softer wheels on rougher skateparks but bit more confidence with harder wheels as not as quick 😅😅🤷
I’ve learned I prefer Carver CX trucks for all of my bowl riding now. I feel more in control of my speed and grip. Also for some grinds like a fs 5-0, the larger wheel makes a bigger pocket for me to lock into grinds and it just gorilla grabs the coping for a glued in lock and the wide hanger gives me confidence that I’m not going to overshoot my slash grinds. Here’s a video with some of my early bowl riding. I’m in the process of making more videos of bowl surfskating. ua-cam.com/video/0GyaBHAVJ28/v-deo.htmlsi=nIBU6BbPNoEoQKFz I used to only ride traditional skateboards and I’ve completely switched to a surfskate. I think it’s all about adapting because to me a regular skateboard feels oppressively stiff and I can’t as easily control the speed or direction because I’ve adjusted to Carver CX riding. Also that carver deck looks small. I ride my CX on a Krooked Evil Beamer deck and it’s a great shape because of the bigger nose, wide tail, 16.25 inch wheel base. Etc Cheers mate!!
So fun! I wanna watch more Surfskate tries.

I don’t remember if you cut down the kingpin on the front truck or not 🤔
Good on ya 🤙✌️
Yeah, cut it right down, grinds a treat ?!

Jon you really are a daredevil , way out of my comfort zone ,, Great Stuff !!
Those things look bananas on coping tricks..! Nothing kook-like about padding up when you're on one of those! 🙀
Some man, what a trooper, 👊🏼great effort Jon
Many thanks for tuning in dude !
