A big shout out to my subscriber Jun. This new pair of gloves looks great and feels great. Thank you so very much!
7:50AM - Back in the Skyway south pier. I came around 2:30PM yesterday and had no single Pompano bite. Today, not too many action either.
11:38AM - First Pompano bite of the day between #22 and #23 east side of the bridge. An 11 inches keeper. A few minutes later this guy to my left who just arrived caught a keeper. I don’t know how big.
1:35PM - I was snacking while jigging with my gloves off between #18 and #19 west side of the bridge. Then I got this bite. A few minutes later I saw the guy a few steps to my left caught a big Pompano. It was probably at least 11 inches.
1:42PM - I thought this was a big Pompano. To my disappointment it was a catfish. Remember Daniel? I gave him a few of my pompano jigs and teaser? He was jigging with his son in the shallow area. He caught a 15 inches Pompano in the west side and another guy caught a 12 and a half inches in the east side.
Hope you all had a great weekend. Thank you so much for watching as always. Stay safe!
Got me 4 keepers pomps 11-14 inches thurs 8/29 from 8am to 12 and lost a couple 🙂
@@jonserrano8221 Wow! I’m so jealous. Just got home. I’ve been jigging from 8:45am until around 2:45pm today. Not a single Pompano bite. I was also jigging from :9:30am-2pm yesterday. I went home because I need to go online for work from 3pm-6pm. Cane back around 7:30pm jugging until 9:30pm but not a single Pompano bite also. Eric one of my friend I met there in Skyway probably two years ago caught probably a 15 inches this morning a few minutes as soon as he arrived and he was just a few feet from where I was jigging. It was so hot and I am having a terrible headache.
how do you tie your pompano jigs? were you using a leader line? what lb braid and leader?
@@irshadali-uq3yj I believe I am showing on this video how I setup my line ua-cam.com/video/EsUICzwdmgU/v-deo.htmlsi=sFTwCJcTYoeD9VCT. I am using a 30lb braided main line and usually a 30lb mono leader. When Spanish Mackerels are active I use this 50lb mono leader. Actually today I am using a 20lb leader in one of my rod but I wasn’t catching any Pompanos on that rod. That makes me to believe, it doesn’t matter how big is your leader.
