    You got the timing down to a perfect rhythm. The Jack Shaft is an excellent idea.

    Hello Keith, what does the new water distribution rack look like? I am basically wondering if:
    1. Your water input is jetted up or down or in multiple directions into the heavies?
    2. Are the new shapes of the water distribution rack (angle iron lying flat with angle pointing up) the same as the factory rack?
    3. The purpose of the water distribution angle iron is to calm the jetted water and gently flow off the gangue while not overly disturbing the heavies.. thus not not remixing the gold with gangue?
    Anyway I am going to build a version this tool and want to apply all useful modifications from your experience!
    Thanks sir,
    PT

      There are some things added that shall remain confidential for now in case I can develop and patent them. WRT just water distribution, 5 or more 1" tubes horizontally on the bottom with their long axis perpendicular to the oscillation axis with around 75 -85 1/8" holes opening downwards. If you find out anything special I'd like to hear about it.
      Keith

    Does this work on crushed sulfide ore? Is what you want to get out contingent on the water flow and particle size?

    • @hardrockuniversity7283
      @hardrockuniversity7283  5 років тому

      It should indeed work on crushed sulfides, it did for me with what sulfides were present. If the particles were very small and the flow was high enough, it could flush out the fine heavies, but with a proper water flow, the main concern would be the input feed rate.

    What if you put mercury in it? Would that catch all the really fine gold then?

    • @hardrockuniversity7283
      @hardrockuniversity7283  5 років тому

      No. The mercury would be at the bottom. If the fine gold got that far, it would be trapped already.

    You got a few bucks tied up cold roll round, pillow block bearings and v-belt pulleys.
    *You the fella behind Keene Engineering? If you are, we've talked on the phone a couple times.
