My grandfather used to dance with her as a child performer in Boston back in the 1910s or 20s. So great to watch this a century later.
An emotional reunion of 58 years ago, I was 8 in 1964, for all time, shall always remember Dr Finlay’s Casebook and that splendid theme tune.
Wonderful lady
Beautiful, what a family treasure. All those generations together and saved for posterity.
Ah, the good old days - when we had 'Stars' not 'Celebrities' !. 'Stars' had character, class & style - in short they were decent human beings who were actually interesting !. And how fit was her dad at 81 and STILL able to dance like that !
How wonderful to see this again (I remember watching it in 1964 and recorded it on audio tape). An absolute classic. Thank you so very much.
A lovely reminder of a lovely person who died (aged 64) far too young. I reckon she had at least another twenty years of acting in her.
I felt sorry for BM who was clearly shocked throughout the programme but nevertheless it was nice to watch. Thank you
She's enchanting in "Jeannie". I saw it here on youtube.
The famous four bar theme tune was only used when TIYL was revived on Thames ITV from 1969 onwards.
Curious as to why she hadn't seen so many members of her family for so long.
In those days once you had emigrated you were gone. No Ryanair or Easyjet and no regional airports.
Pity about the odd ratio...
Does anyone have the Finlay Currie episode of 'This is Your Life'?
