- navigating with a teardrop, best practices, things to avoid, how to plan gas stops and towing into a gas station, rules that might apply to trailers including propane restrictions, etc
- more examples of actual camping trips and how you set up specific portions of your camp.
- more on solar!!!
- how to organize your trailer to be able to hit the road at the spur of the moment.
- what to pack in your trailer vs what to pack in the tow vehicle
- what’s in your tool bag when you travel?
- what “extras” do you bring along “just in case” (shovels, jacks, tire repair kits, generators, rope, tarps, etc)
- how to plan a camping trip, where to go, how to reserve, what spots are good for teardrops, state parks v national parks v campgrounds v Boondocking
- camp food strategies

@@DIYOutdoorLife Hi Brian! I saw your most recent video that you guys are in an Airbnb in New Mexico, I believe. Stay warm! No, I don't have a teardrop or any camper yet. I've been debating van conversion, teardrop or small travel trailer (i.e. scamp, or similar) for camping for a long time now. We like to camp but usually use a tent, sleeping bags, etc... I've started to get more serious about my camping options since the last couple of trips have been either really windy or very cold at night. Brr 🥶 I looked into PeeWee Teardrop Trailers out of Nashville, TN, which I've found to be the cheapest with a basic build. Have you ever heard of them or tried one of their teardrops? I even considered building a teardrop. I have a Honda Civic that tows about 1100 lbs or 1300 if the trailer has its own brakes. I'm really a bargain shopper and if I build one I would likely use items from Habitat Re-Store and salvageable items on Craigslist unless I can find something used for the right price. I like your channel, I'm subscribing. Sorry for the long response. Hope you're having a happy new year so far! 😁

Hey Brian, I watched the video on using a torque wrenching to tighten your wheels. I actually bought a 60 to 250 lb torque wrench after watching it. I used to work for a large company with hundreds of semi's. Every now and then a drive axle tire would come free do to inadequate torque. It usually happen not long after the tire was serviced. I have seen the damage that a tire can do when it comes off at 70 mile/hr. Not pretty. Thanks for todays video, I learned a few things.

Another great video Brian! A lot of people forget about the maintenance that goes into RVing. Although it can take some time, it'll further the life of our rigs meaning we can go camping more often and longer.

I got introduced to you and your videos as I was watching you on a Cosmo video quite along time ago. I subscribed after watching a couple of your videos shortly at there after. Thanks for an informative video on trailer maintenance. I took delivery of my new Camp-Inn Ultra 560 trailer a few weeks ago. Since then, I’ve taken my time with detailing out all the stuff I would like/need to be part of my trailer, e.g., cooking stuff, bedding options, tool kit, etc. I intend to get out on the road, at least a short distance, yet this winter. That is often a challenge to travelers as I’m located in the far reaches of north/east Wisconsin (Door County). I will use your list of videos on maintenance issues and items as my trailer is used and ages. In the mean time, here’s wishing you and those close to you a Safe, Happy, and Merry Christmas and New Year.

It depends where that noise is coming from. That is definitely the cheapest and easiest place to start. If that doesnt do it, we can find out where the noise is coming from and go from there.

Hey Brian! Got here through Drew’s channel. Like Kara mentioned, I’m also interested in the list of dealerships that carry this at a lower price.
Would love to see a video with the different options available, maybe highlighting some of the more bare bones trailers. I wouldn’t mind having one with almost nothing in it (no AC, no heater, no galley, no speakers) and then being able to work on it as a smaller DIY project (relative to building one from scratch)

As for options, there are very few. These are mass produced/ assembly line trailers. Currently the choice is 2 door, 1 door, and a version with different graphics and awning. Have you seen Runaway trailers? they are offering some really nice, bare bones trailers...

Brian, I'm storing my bushwhacker outside during the winter, should I cover it with a tarp?
Although they're hard to get with the supply chain issues, I highly recommend an RV cover to a tarp. You want to keep the weather off the rig while avoiding trapping moisture in. The tarp can to more harm than good in a lot of environments.
Do you have video on putting in a facet instead of sprayer?
I should probably do that, the problem is BC went back and forth between different ports when making the Bushwhacker. Shoot me and email with a photo of your port and I’ll try to help out.

I actually have the Solo OG with the quick connect for hose. I’ll send a pic, I was thinking a T with plumbing but wondered easier way
There’s multiple quick connects, I can usually off a part list that’s simple to put together w/o cutting
Just brought a 2022 BushWhaker 10 HD and parked it tonight is the time on the radio and the propane Alarm sensor suppose to stay on or will that draw on the battery. and if it does how do you turn them off?
You are off to a great start by asking these questions. For now go out and disconnect the terminals from the battery. Check out my video on installing a master switch and the video on installing a switch for the radio.
Although it does not come with it, you definitely need a master switch on this camper. The radio switch will also be a huge help.

We are in the market for a teardrop, is the Bushwacker still a do not buy in your book? If so, do you know of anything I should be looking at? Thank you very much for the videos!
My opinion is evolving on this trailer. It’s hard for me to not recommend the trailer, because I think it was the perfect camper for me. On the other hand, it has been a real fixer upper, despite buying it brand new from the dealership. If you’re moderately handy and follow along with the videos on the easy modifications, then it’s a no brainer for the price. If you’d rather spend the extra money to get something finished really well, then look at Vistabule, Campinn, and Bean. Those trailers also have waiting lists… Runaway and Road Toad make some really nice cheaper campers too.

@@DIYOutdoorLife Holy cow I didn't see that video on Drews channel. We had found him and were planning on buying a Bean until they raised prices this year. They added like $4k to the price and it's a bit out of budget now. I am relatively handy, so we might be giving the Bushwacker a go. It appears my nearby dealership is listed about $2k over what others are seeing though. I wonder if they have wiggle room...
