My dad was like Goodrich, he's in his 70s now and is of that generation that was raised by fathers who didn't show their love outwardly so he didn't know how to do it himself but what I respect him so much for is that as he got older and realized the mistakes he made with me and my siblings and first apologized but as it seems in the movie he made sure he was better with my younger sisters which I'm happy for them for because he was gone most of my teenage years which caused me a lot of pain. He has worked hard since to make up for it and our relationship now is great. I think as parents who might have grown up in a situation like this we have to always be aware that we're not falling into that pattern of behavior, that we're making sure to give our children better than we had emotionally, whether our parents were that way on purpose or not.
I'm glad wild animals don't watch movies or otherwise they'd be as naive as movie fans. Watching lion cubs playing on hippos is like a child being naturally inspired to mimic their favorite fictional movie character.

The reason is simple and scary. Writers and directors push agendas and DEI instead of good stories and great acting. When your goal is to make everyone happy, nobody's happy in the end. Just make a good film and don't focus so much on pronouns and women's power movements
