Hard to believe the source track is from 1969. Slowed down it takes on an ambient life of its own - haunting, ethereal, sublime. Thief is a great movie and the soundtrack is one of my favourite Tangerine Dream pieces. The transitions in and out of the starscape are cool and the fire scenes are intense. Great audio/video experience.

Glad you like it! Yes, some of the classic analogue recordings, even from the late 60s, sound great - even more so slowed down with minor audio adjustments. The original track is already somewhat of an ambient jazz fusion piece, so it naturally works well when given the slowed ambient treatment.
