Jesper has the best chemistry with Uwe, but it's strange to find that somehow he managed to "blend" well with other der Tod(s) in the Essen production, despite the lack of "puppet choreography" in this song back then. I love the way he leans on to der Tod, and slightly rubs his head on der Tod's shoulder at 3:22 while mumbling something - the look on his face shows the depressed need for attention, love, and care. Rudolf looks so vulnerable, even when he bears the "strong jawline and broad shoulder" appearance.
This song works so well when they just ACT AT EACH OTHER. My two favourite types of Rudolphs are 1) wet cat, sad prince Rudolph whos only true friend is fucking DEATH 2) unhinged Rudolph who wants to die so bad he pulls death into the Mayerling Kiss himself
