could you please share that excel file occurred in the video? I cant find the mass variation along the diaphragms. All I get is the total weight of the structure from displaying the group of masses. How can we get the masses individually for stories?
That Excel file hasn't been extracted from SAP2000. It was created separately for manual calculation only. The link can of the file can be found in the description.
@@saidbolluk3420 Weights are calculated based on the dimensions of elements and load applied and material property (i.e. unit weight) for each floor separately. Then based on seismic coefficient method, EarthQuake load is calculated.
SAP2000 asks contraint axis and we choose z axis for slab, which means there will be translation in X and Y direction and rotation about Z axis (i.e. perpendicular to XY plane) when EQ forces acts hence constraining the movement or deformation of slab along Z direction. Thus, it maintains relative position of points in slab and column same even when there is EQx and EQy acting. So put constraint in Z axis in diaphragm.
Thank you so much.
Thank you for feedback
sir in Y-Z plane how to define the diaphragm constraint axis?
Thank you so much!
Welcome

@@JustLearnCivil ok. Thank you. What about finding the masses separately?

sir i have a question..
why when assign the diafrgm must Z-axis?
isn't dat eartqauke direction from x and y

@@JustLearnCivil thankyou for your reply sir😁... i have another question again sir
When we use x and y axis?
choose Z axis to constrain XY plane, Y axis to constrain XZ plane and so on
@@JustLearnCivil thankyou so much sir... ur the best
@@JustLearnCivil can i get ur email.? i want ask u a lot about this software
could you make the video of control of vibration in composite floor using tuned mass damper by sap 2000 software ?
I haven't used that yet. But I would try my best to explore it and make a video on it. Thank you for suggesting.
you didnt assign the earthquake load, you just defined it
