Thank you very much for your lecture. If all epithelium layer was eroded, and I only see hyalinized or fibrosis stroma (lacking lamina propria and mucosal muscular), can I diagnose LAMN ?
I think you need some epithelium somewhere to make the diagnosis firm. A few things like systemic sclerosis might mimic the stromal hyalinization alone.
Thank you so much. I got it. Can you explain for me why concomitant low grade mucinous neoplasms of both appendix and ovary are presumed to have arisen from the appendix?
Frequency and likelihood are the issue. Mucinous tumor spreading from ovary to appendix is very uncommon, while the reverse is quite common. So when they appear concomitantly, the presumption is appendix is the origin.
Sir on April 2021 my appendicitis got rupture and June 2021 they did my surgery. They found tumor that is LAMN in my appendicitis. Now they are doing ct scan every year with contrast .2022 June CT they found slight inflammation and after than they did MRI on October . Doctor told nothing to worry again they’ll do one more scan in June 2023 . They are saying they might do one more surgery
