My favorite movie of all time. ❤️ Thanks for this.
Mine too!
@@larryware1 Nice to meet you Larry! 😀👍
@@jillkjv3816 - same here. Great film - very under appreciated. Most haven't heard of it.
@@larryware1 I love the novel too. Have two vintage copies of it.
Its just timeless
My favourite film of all time- thank you so much for much for posting this…..she was there
A beautifully delivered comparison of locations. Such a lot of effort made to obtain the exact angle of shots. Astonishing how little some parts of New York have changed. A truly haunting movie - has been my favorite of the era ever since I saw it 40 years ago. Thank you for such a wonderfully detailed presentation.
Agreed, it's wonderful to see how many things remain the same. Finding the correct angles must have been a real challenge!
Very interesting. Surprising to me how some parts of New York have hardly changed.
This was amazing. Thank you so much
Thank you! I LOVE this movie, and even more so love the radio version with Joan Fontaine and the beautiful voice of John Lund. The creepiest thing is I just bought the DVD of the time travel love story “The Two Lives of Jennie Logan”, which must have had some basis on this. It even has the name Jennie. How did UA-cam know? Anyway, if you enjoyed this great movie, you should try the other….
1) Time travel movie like “Somewhere in Time”, but better…and earlier.
2) 1979 hilarious camp.
3) Lindsay Wagner overacting shamelessly… although with no bionic sounds. I really love her.
4) Two beautiful real Victorian houses.
5) Two smoking hot guys…one with a 1970s porn stash.
6) Hilariously bad age makeup and terrible paintings.
I saw it for the first time today, and it is already one of my favorites….along with “Portrait of Jennie”
Amazing video thank you. You are very knowledgeable about the film.
Excellent! Very well done. Thank you.
I wonder where the portrait is today?
The portrait that Robert Brackman did for David Selznick for the movie "Portrait of Jennie" is located in the collection of the Harry Ransom Center at the University of Texas at Austin.
1:42 wonderful music ❤
Wowee Wow Wow. I am a huge fan of classic movie filming location videos, especially of the then/now variety, and I don't think I've ever seen one to compare to this. The amount of time and care taken is evident in every scene. Absolutely brilliant. THANK YOU SO MUCH, for remembering Portrait of Jennie, and sharing this magical tribute.
Lindo...
Incredible tribute to a truly majestic piece of celluloid. And Bernard Herrmann!!
And Debussy and Tiomkin in the original film.
A lot of work went into this video! This was brilliant. Thank u for sharing ❤️
Wow thank you ❣️.I saw this movie as a child. It is haunting .What you did with this is stunning.. unbelievable.i never knew it was so much of NYC. .Great research .
Portrait of Jennie is my all-time favorite movie. I first saw it on AMC with Bob Dorian (host) in 1987 and it has remained my favorite since. Thank you so much for this look at the locations from the film as they look today. Beautifully photographed and edited, this short look at the locations is astonishing! Thank you for posting this.
그레잇 마스터피스 무비 !
Blimey. Bodacious movie supplementation. A side by side comparison.
It's poignant and bittersweet to see the old bldg's dwarfed. But that's life, it seems. All that comes after supercedes in size and impressiveness all that came before...but, ironically, not necessarily in grace and charm.
Is Jennie a ghost?
Thank you so much
What awesome movie but never got the recognition it deserves.
Except from its true fans who understand true beauty.
