How to CAST ON in the middle of a row

    I do your method but I find I always get a bit if a gap from the two sections (the old stitches and the added ones). It's like the yearn got stretched. What am I doing wrong please?

    this looks much better than the backwards loop method which my current pattern calls for (seems way too flimsy and stretchy to me) this technique seems sturdier, big thumbs up! :)
