DWARF TOMATOES REVIEW! PART 2

In this review, I will tell you about Dwarf tomatoes that I have grown this season. Dwarf tomatoes have proven to be yielding, tasty, and stress-resistant plants. This review includes the following tomato varieties: Dwarf Aftershock, Dwarf Tennessee Suited, Dwarf Lucky Swirl, Dwarf Desperado and Dwarf Lemon Ice.

Thank you for these great videos about dwarfs. I just discovered them and I'm excited to try them this year. It looks like you prune them to one main stem like indeterminates and prune everything below the fruits. I've read that dwarfs can be largely left unpruned as well. Interested on your thoughts on this. Thanks!

I usually prune them only under the first bunch, and let them grow in 3 to 5 stems because of a short summer. This I must change my plains because of the hail🤷

I live in Belarus, so the climate is rather cool. I had to trim them because of the hail ☹️

I would love to know how many days from transplant before they produced fruit. We have a short season and this is the reason I am interested in dwarfs.

You mean from planting them in the garden?

I transplant some of them into the garden once we get above 10C at night. Others I keep in pots that I move out to the deck once it is hot enough . I want to keep the greenhouse space for the slower growing heritage tomatos I grow.

It can take 2 to 3 mothns from the moment you transplant the seedlings into the garden.
