Constructive criticism. I don't make videos of this stuff because I know it would make an already slow process 10 times slower for me. But if you're going to the trouble of setting up a camera, you can take your video from 4/10 to 8/10 by including some CLOSE UPS. Otherwise, I feel like a buddy just standing in your garage while you do stuff. I can't see the operation of what you're doing unless you give a close up. It would add so much value.
It’s not too terribly difficult. You don’t have to drop your engine, jump at need to have some support for it from above. Actually you don’t even have to remove the tranny, you can replace the seals while it is in the vehicle. Just makes it a little more difficult.
@@mrsmithgarage8115 thx, unfortunately i have multiple leaks. I think i'll start by replacing the oil pan gasket. do you know the torque i have to use to reinstall it? Can i reuse the bolts? The other one unfortunately seems to be the engine mail seal behing the clutch (also something very outside of my confort zone and the tools i have )
I think it was pretty low, because they are small bolts, maybe 18ft lbs. in one of the videos I did on the engine rebuild I have pictures of the torque specs.
Not sure what you mean. Those plastic inserts just keep the everything clocked in the right spot. They have a 30 or 40 sided spline type pattern. Not sure what it’s called.

Thanks, I’ll work on doing better in that regard.
i think i'm screwed, my transaxle are both leaking a lot and i guess it wont be cheap at all if you need to take the transmission down

You did a work for nothing Sir. But I think you have time therefor. If the gearbox leaks in this area you have not to open it. Only take a look.
