Honestly, i dont usually get second lead syndrome, with the exception of Han Seojun (True Beauty). And this drama, surprisingly, got me interested with the 2nd lead. I get that lee dam didnt chose him but there was just really something interesting about their dynamics and story arc..
Did ever heard about start up? You will stop watching that drama before eps 11, just because second lead get dumped after what he did
Reply 1988 has a strong 2nd lead syndrome, school 2015 too and while you're sleeping if lee jong suk wasn't the ml, i would have stopped watching because hae in was amazing as the 2nd lead, I can't think of anyone else right now but there are others

Ik I’ve seen enemies-to-lovers (or at least just guy loving girl) countless times with 2nd mls, but I’ve never seen it like this before. I think it’s interesting because they were never really enemies? It was more of a passive-aggressive thing and they just kinda disliked each other (or at least he did her). That is what made it interesting to me. Their dynamic wasn’t overdone. He was a pretty chill 2nd ml, and I also enjoyed their story arc lots!!

He met his match someone who treats him the way that he treated women. She didn’t care for him and tossed him aside without looking back. His final goodbye to her was really sad. You can tell his feelings were very sincere towards her. But it was just too late. But I bet he’ll never forget her. She’ll always be the one that got away.

Fortunately I didn't want him to get her... unlike other second heroes, he persistently pursued her even after finding that she didn't like him and love someone else and also he didn't expect her to reject him 🙄... It feels annoying that he wants her love always despite her disinterest... heroine is great that she didn't play with him right from the start...so I'm not feeling sorry for him 😀

Main lead couple chemistry here is on another level, it's really strong, it's even explosive. Also it's not a drama about the good girl/bad boy love story. It's a drama about gumiho, so obviously he had to be the main lead. Yes Bae In Hyuk did great job there, but honestly I didn't like his character, he is very annoying

Well, I think he indeed deserved all her bad treats, but was never unreal with him. She always was sincere and straight forward, she never lied to him. He just reaped what he sowed. Of course it was very wrong of him beating to conquer her and then he did regret it, but he still was wrong.
