- i’ve been waiting to watch this drama ever since they said it would be made into a drama as i read the book 打火机与公主裙back in 2020 and I was super excited to see the story come to life in this drama!! i loved the casting, i think both the main leads did really well and they had good chemistry too :)) honestly seeing this drama makes me wanna learn coding HHAAHA

She's amazing to him, I loved that the most. We always have those male characters who are caring and seem "written by women". Zhu Yun is literally the female version of this, she's going out of her way for him all the time. She tells him "you can't give up, I don't allow" or "I will be by your side no matter what". What a beautiful character

Agreed! I didn’t expect to love it so much. It felt like discovering a hidden treasure. The story is strong, but it’s the two leads (and their amazing chemistry) that mesmerized me and got me completely invested.

This was the very first cdrama I watched where the female lead was willing to do anything for the male lead. She always stood beside him even when he pushed her away. She never gave up on him after so many years. The male lead's performance was very praisable and he literally made his character so Alive.

they're not really academic rivals. it's established early on he's better at programming. it's definitely a more one-sided rivalry. still a great c-drama if you're looking for the whole black cat x golden retriever dynamic. i appreciated how wonderfully written the female lead was. zhu yun is strong and intelligent but also loving and willing to do anything for lixun without being a pushover.

I can’t get over this C Drama. This, so far is my favorite. Makes me fall in love over and over again. Maybe because I ended up with my classmate as well. We’re classmates since first grade, and we developed feelings since ninth grade, and now we’re together with one son. I’m a bookworm and have to maintain my high grades due to my mom’s high expectations. While on the other hand, he’s from a broken family and was addicted to computer games since elementary. I was his light, I did everything for him to focus with his studies, and to graduate and finish college.
Now we’re living our dream, to be together and have a wonderful son. I can’t ask for more. thank you Lighter and Princess for this very impactful and relatable drama. I wish to see Arthur Chen and Zhang Jingyi in another Drama Series again.

I really love this drama, the characters, the storyline, the script everything about it. This drama is very different from the other cdrama. Zhuyun really slayed her character i LOVE her in this drama serious talk, she is SMART. I found that zhuyun's mbti is istj while lixun is intj i guess thats why they are so attractive 🤌🏻🤌🏻

this is the first cdrama that really made me cry so much, like-i mean, i really didn't expect that i would feel so painful watching this. their chemistry is really overflowing, tbh, the guy was so fine and the lady was smart. i couldn't believe how my eyes looked like after crying for nights. my classmates were laughing at me when they saw me, and i couldn't deny that i fell inlove with how this story was written. it was frustratingly good.
