Interesting trivia: Dennis initially hated Carvey's impression of him and resented him for doing it, but Dana kept busting it out for the rest of the cast and everybody else thought it was brilliant. Dennis finally came around to their point of view and after that he laughed harder than anybody else in the room. I got that from Dennis himself in a talk show interview he gave back in the 90s.
THe thing that would have made this totally surreal would have been to have Michael Landon as the third Dennis Miller - He had the hair and kind of looked liked Dennis Miller. Michael Landon had a great sense of humor - I think he would have done it!
I'm almost positive the Tammy Faye Bakker/Joker line was actually from Dennis Miller's Off-White Album. That brings me to wonder: did Carvey steal one of Miller's lines to do this sketch, or did Miller steal Carvey's line and build it into his act?
"It's like when (reference) decided to be more like the (reference) instead of the (reference)" Brilliant Dennis, I don't understand why you got laughed off of twitter and had to settle for hosting a show on russian state tv. Unctuous Chevy truck kick plate babe.
Dennis Miller is the worst case scenario of what happens to people who lose relevance and then decide to keep it by ratching down their moral limbo bar to take on the visigoth audience lurking out in the wasteland past civilized people. You know who I'm talkin' about babe.
This impression is so good, it genuinely feels like two Dennis Millers in a room having a back and forth.
I love the line, “I’m just narcissistic enough to love that.” Probably true but funny. The laugh was spot on.
@Dave Cote and now Dennis Miller is on Russian Television 🙄🙄
@@mickfunny4185 According to the Daily Beast, in this article, Miller has left the show and does not plan on going back.
@@davefordavefor "according to the daily beast" 🤡🤡
It at least shows self awareness.

Damn. I wish I could buy you a beer and listen to you tell that story. 🍻
@RobMacKendrick LOL and we should believe an absolute stranger's comment, right??? LOL can you say DESPERATE???
@@user-ee8us7cw2k No, but I can say "watch the damn show, asswipe."
That head bopping at the end 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Miller mouthing along to Carvey's lines is amazing...
I noticed that too! What’s that all about???🤔
They’re his jokes 😂
Carvey was already doing a Dennis imitation in his audition tape.
Dana Carvey, the greatest impressionist out of SNL, none finer.
You can see DM mouthing the words DC is saying @ 1:34. Epic.
On Zsa Zsa Gabor's plastic surgery: "She's had more tucks than a bed at a Ramada." Brilliant! Dana Carvey was one of the best ever on SNL.
I would say THE best. He carried the show in its height. How can you not smile when Carvey is on?
Phil Hartman was the best to ever do it.
I gave my Valedictorian graduation speech in 1990 and imitated Dennis Miler's pencil scribble outro!
@American Light so you’re 40 now 😳
40?
@@mickfunny418559
52. I graduated in '90 also.
WHY was the *REAL* Dennis *MOUTHING* the words Dana was doing?
I just love Dennis Miller
Maybe the best SNL skit ever.
Carsenio
This dudes got a better mullet than me, babe
the good old days....
I couldn’t stop laughing.
“I love Bowie.” The most devastating brutally accurate comedic line in SNL history.
Back when Dennis was cleverly funny before he got all frady-scared that the terrorists were coming just for him
@@TTony-tu6dm imagine being so low on the isis totem pole it's your duty to go after dennis miller
Dana Carvey can imitate anybody
Carvey is a national treasure.
I'm just narcissistic enough to love that.....
_Joker from Batman!_ 😂
The laugh! The laugh! The laugh!
Was that... Pink Floyd?!
Yes
Dennis is so replicable he makes Dana Carvey look like Dennis Miller.

I captain hair-do lol
The only who could check Dana Carvey's ego was Dennis Miller. And vice versa. Pure greatness.
Damn, now I want to see if anyone’s made a Dennis Miller bobblehead.
Just got here from Smartless...
This is better than when Fallon did Seinfeld on SNL Weekend Update
And a close second is Mike Myers doing Mick Jagger and Mick doing Keef! 🤘
Dana Carvey’s Dennis Miller was much funnier than Dennis Miller
I forgot SNL used to be good.
I remembered, it's always been good.
Been about 30 years easy to forget.
🤣🤣🤣🤣💎

When SNL wasn't garbage.... like today.
SNL has NEVER been garbage.
😭🤡😆
Is this amateur hour where Dennis starts reading the teleprompter along with the other guy saying it? Terrible. 1:30.
I noticed that as well!

SNL doesn't need non-fans like yourself.
the least funny weekend update host since norm macdonald himself, woof
The arbiter of comedy here. Lol. Two of the smart guys ever on the show. Their humor was more evolved than you were. That’s the issue.
Never liked Norm, but Dennis was hilarious!
Dear god you have no fucking taste. Norm is the GOAT hands down.
Get real
