TRUE NAME: “KALKORI”
DESCRIPTION:
Kalkori is an extremely large and heavy Vani. You can practically hear this thing walking around, making a glassy or ceramic kind of noise with every stomp of its massive, gorilla-like arms and legs. It has four of these, and then, branching from its massive and broad shoulders, two long and gangly arms with four apposable fingers each. At the base of its neck and back of hips, dozens of sharp and twisting spikes peppered with cracks jut out. It has seven long, paper-thin tails that fan out like a peacock, and almost resemble a clock in some ways- this part will make sense in a bit.
The feature of Kalkori, though, that is most prominent and notable- is its mouth and neck. It has a tall, upwards neck that can rotate 180 degrees. At the top of its head are two long, upwards swooping horns, cracked like the neck spikes. Its eyes are round, wide, and completely emotionless. It has large exterior teeth that are in place of lips. And now, the jaw… rather than being on a swivel like you or I, the bottom of the jaw is connected to a sort of biological conveyor- it retracts its jaw inward rather than open it at an angle. The closest I can compare this function to is… perhaps like a nutcracker, a conveyor belt, rubbing your hands together… it’s odd to think of on an animal.
Anyway… once the jaw is peeled back and pulled into the body, you can see its mouth. Dozens of rows of long, sharp teeth line the inside of its mouth, leading down to the base of its neck- where you can gaze into the gaping barrel of ripping and shredding teeth that is Kalkori’s esophagus. The inner rows of teeth rotate like gears or sawblades, and I doubt anything could survive being devoured. The most unfortunate part of fighting this Vani has to be its god damn weak point… it’s…. one of its spinning teeth rows. No wonder Zahalkro panicked so much when we questioned him about this Vani. Seems like Kalkori’s no joke.
ABILITIES:
It seems that whatever ability it DID have at one point was time related. The ability now seems barely functional, which is freaky as HELL due to how creepy it still is. It seems to single the victim out, “crack” time around them, and make them perceive as if Kalkori is far slower than it is. In fact, if you are the target, you may still be aware and alive but… from your friends’ perspectives… you have just been torn to thousands of shreds.
It seems to use this ability when it fans its tail out, thus the clock imagery I mentioned earlier. I dunnoooo… still looks like a peacock to me. Snail gorilla peacock. Such a strange assortment of animals for such a deadly being.

So my friend came up with a very good and interesting theory about Kalkori. She believes that the reason Kalkori is broken is due to it betraying the leader. The leader Vani broke their power and body, leading them to become feral.
When I saw the first drawing I thought this boy was gonna be an absolute cinnamon roll.

with all these elements of boss themes, and title screens, I assume you want to make this series into a video game? I'm having a hard time envisioning what kind it would be, how combat would be handled, and if it would be 3d 2d, this just seems so cool and although it may take a while, I hope you can get all the time, resources, and motivation needed to see this project through! it's really cool man.

Not actually required to complete the game, this boss could serve as an optional boss, as it was already defeated long ago. It could only have 1 hp, but could have a stamina bar that increased its dodging ability to ridiculous levels, but could be reduced by using many attacks against it, with accurate attacks reducing it by more (or fast attacks). It could be accessible early on in the game, and theoretically beatable at that point, but would likely only be killable by players with most or all abilities unlocked. He would also probably be really hard-hitting, as well as extremely hard in general.

First off-love the design of Kalkori! Second-is that Null speaking with the Violet text? I feel like it is, because it can’t be Kalkori(pretty sure it doesn’t have a mouth to begin with).

0:04 You walk into a cave lit up by green light. only two steps forward and you see a creature. Two heads, speaking to each other in some ancient language.
0:14 One head turns around, facing you and glaring into your soul as it snarls.
0:16 the other follows, yet seems much more passive, yet you still see the hatred in its eyes.
0:20 The aggressive head leads it in standing to an aggressive stance. Its full size makes you look like a roach.
0:21 The cymbals represent the creature stomping with all 4 legs in a pattern, preparing to kill you.
0:27 The distorted-sounding audio represents the long necks of the creature wrapping around you and attempting to crush you.
0:29 at the last cymbal crash, you jump out of the trap just as the creature would have closed around you.
0:31 the monster unwraps slowly, and seems to become even larger as the heads slowly separate, now only connected by a coal-black strip simply allowing it to remain standing.
0:40 It circles you, still being led by the more aggressive-seeming head.
0:41 It straightens back out, and the heads take quick turns at lunging toward you with each drum beat.
0:46 you put your sword between the heads, tangling it and making it stumble back, yet you're still far from defeating it.
0:48 It recovers quickly, and starts marching towards you.
0:50 It starts to charge, and you just manage to dodge one of its mouths.
0:53 You hold your sword up and nearly sever the connection between the two, but it steps back before you can. It's angered much more now.
0:56 It begins marching and pouncing towards you like a cat, and when you run underneath it you're greeted just as quickly by it facing you again.
1:07 It stops and begins kicking boulders at you that you deflect back towards it with your sword.
1:18 It runs towards you and tries to pounce again.
1:20 You start bashing at its chest with your sword, but it deflects.
1:24 It backs away and begins puffing long blasts of green fire in unison from its nostrils.
1:34 The slightly more peaceful head begins to question this, trying to back away but stopped by the damaged connection to the other head.
1:37 Spines begin blasting from the creatures horns, which you deflect with your sword, denting it.
1:42 You start taking lunges at it, bouncing off by your feet with each attack.
1:52 You eventually hit one neck right in a weak spot, making the creature stumble back.
1:57 You search for that weak spot again and plunge your sword in. It's only more angered by this.
2:02 The creature tries to crush you beneath its feet but you hold your sword above its head. it only gets so far before realizing and starts to limp now.
2:09 the creature screeches with both heads and recoils.
2:20 The creature takes awhile to recover and goes back at you with a jump.
2:24 You see its tail swing towards you and it knocks you down.
2:26 the creature trips too, and you hold your sword up.
2:31 Your sword plunges into one head's jaw, basically killing it.
2:34 The creature gets up, the dead side weighing it down.
2:39 The creature attempts all of its past moves, but fails mostly with its one head.
3:00 you see more resentment burning within its eyes and you're almost crushed by its foot.
3:07 you try stabbing at its chest or jaw again, but it doesn't work.
3:17 It goes back to trying its old moves, and begins to look discouraged.
3:40 you hear a silent, humming sound and it begins to look more confident again, still being weighed down by its dead side.
3:53 The creature stomps and large, sharp crystals fall from the ceiling. you have to dodge them.
3:59 you begin cautiously walking towards the creature, who shows no mercy in its eyes.
4:09 It begins shooting the spikes again, shattering most of the crystals now wedged into the ground.
4:18 it bashes at you with its front foot, you can barely deflect this with your sword.
4:29 you run at it, jumping and trying to find the weak spot in its neck.
4:41 You find it and the creature screeches.
4:47 it takes one last swing at you.
4:53 you jab it in its jaw again and it falls to the floor, turning to green dust.
