Here’s a little tl;dr of sylux. He first appeared in prime hunters for the DS as one of the bounty hunters raiding the alimbic cluster. Towards the end of the game we see his life energy absorbed however after Samus defeats the big bad, he regains his life and flies away. In corruption, for 100% the game after the credits, we can see his ship fly after samus, and lastly, in federation force, we see him standing in front of a baby metroid after the credits. Due to his seemingly sporadic appearances and the very circumstantial methods of seeing him, im not surprised more people dont know about him, not to mention the only time we’ve seen his face until now was in hunters, which in and of itself is a “black sheep.” What im confused about, is why Sylux is where he is given Samus saved his life.
If I remember rightly, Sylux's power armour is a stolen federation prototype based on Samus' suit. And they also went after the metroids. It seems like Sylux is happy to take what they want to futher their own power and agenda. It looks like they are now working with the space pirates which makes some sense given their common enemy in the federation. And despite Samus incidentally saving Sylux I don't think Sylux particularly cares.
Sylux is a bounty hunter...Space Pirates simply made a good deal
Sylux hates the federation, and samus for working with them so much, he was probably just attacking a federation base without knowing samus would be there, or he just doesn't care about samus saving him

Spring release for Switch was very successful for Nintendo. I wouldn't doubt Nintendo's next console would release in the same window.
While true, I have to think that a factor in the Switch being released outside of a holiday window was its predecessor being the Wii U. I think Nintendo would've been in even rougher shape than they were if they tried to wait until holiday 2017 to release it.
@@qactustick Think about that the Switch was sold out everywhere for more than a year. They were selling them as fast as they could make them. What's the point in increased holiday demand if they're already going to sell every product you can make.
It makes sense in my mind to launch in the Spring when people have their tax rebates in hand, and then use the holidays to boost demand when the console is a half a year old; not to mention they've had time to spool up and refine your production line.
@@rob_i208 Naw, there's a reason why new consoles pretty much always release around the holidays. I really think the only reason the Switch released in spring is because they needed to get it out ASAP in the hope of recovering from the Wii U being a relative flop. If the Wii U had been a success, they would've held off on the Switch for at least another half-year to put it in the holiday window, just like every other home console Nintendo's released to date.
Max Dood was on the verge of tears when they showed MVC2, and when the Prime 4 trailer dropped, Oas was like: "Fuck this thrown together garbo. It's the opposite of bonerific..." I understand where both are coming from. Nintendo Direct can really giveth and taketh away.

Had a very similar reaction to Prime 4, I was like "oh cool I guess we're getting a prime 3 remake" and then the trailer kept going and I realized that I was very much so wrong. God I'm excited, I get the feeling that this could be a launch title for the next console, but who knows

It's been so long. The Prime Trilogy is easily my favorite "series" (Metroid as a whole I guess, but the Prime Trilogy especially) in all of gaming and I've played games all my life on multiple consoles and mostly PC the last few years. I was so happy I literally could not sit still when we got the Prime 4 trailer today. I even shed a tear or two. Holy crap I'm looking forward to this so much!
2 might come this year remastered since it’s the 20th anniversary.
My prediction is that the beams upgrade will be cumulative like in prime 3, and we will have 4 special weapons that consume ammo or do special abilities, could also be like a recharging energy meter, one of them being regular missles. Hope for some movement techs and being randomizer friendly
The logo for Prime 4 looks suspiciously like the Zebes explosion at the end of Super. Also in the beginning a purple beam annihilates the turret--no debris or anything. Whatever the story's gonna be is gonna be super interesting

This is the idea i had from the beginning. Back in the day i played a game called Time shift, which let you slow, stop or rewind time both in combat and to solve physics puzzles, and it would fit metroid so much.

huh, didn't expect the Fairy Tail video game to have been popular enough/big enough to get a sequel announced during Direct.
Well eventually it had to happen that the Switch's tech limitations would drain all of the excitement out of new title announcements. It's impressive they made it as long as they did.

Pretty sure they said they're not doing remasters of Echoes and Corruption, but they might release them as a quick two-pack non-remastered collection.
My prediction: Switch 2 and Prime 4 same day release in August 2025, but no special edition consoles for anything Metroid ever again. Also, I agree the graphics and the sub-title are not quite what I hoped, but I'll take it.
Remember that Dread and the OLED Switch came out on the same day. I won't forget that because I bought the white OLED Switch because I was buying Dread.

Wait 'til Oats realizes he has to play a batsh*t-crazy carpal-tunnel-syndrome-inducing DS stylus-aiming game and a 3DS story-based game that ignores the series' principles to understand literally nothing about Sylux. But hey, Sylux shows up, am I right?
What if is not just Sylux and the other hunters are as well? What if theres a multiplayer mode to fight against other hunters?
There's no reason for it to be the other hunters, Sylux has been set up as the next villan for two games now.
I didnt hear them say anything about it being a switch release.... Cope we get that ps4 gen console for running this... though they did have the switch logo top left...
If it is on the next system, it will absolutely be a dual release.
It's nice to finally see something about the game, but I have to question the choice to use a target locking and clunky looking control scheme that was already outdated and archaic when prime 3 came out, 17 *years* ago
Remakes are Nintendo supersafe way of making money. Dragon Quest 3 is older than most people in the audience.
7 years later. Still no details besides a cinematic trailer. "I hope you can wait a little bit longer." WELL SURE, I guess I can. I was hoping for amazing graphics but they did seem just like it was on Metroid Prime 3 graphics with a hint of 2024 on the tomatoes.

I didn't see any innovation in terms of game mechanics (and graphics) in the Metroid Prime 4 trailer. This looked like it could run on Wii, really. Disappointing.
