- The Philippines' national security adviser called for Chinese diplomats to be expelled over an alleged leak of a phone conversation. Eduardo Ano said China's embassy in Manila had orchestrated "repeated acts of engaging and dissemination of disinformation, misinformation and malinformation." Ano added such actions "should not be allowed to pass unsanctioned without serious penalty." Ano said he backed the Philippines defence minister's call for the foreign ministry to take appropriate action against Chinese embassy officials. Watch video to find out more.

Only the President of the Philippines or lower officials with authority from the President can enter into any foreign deals.
China knows Marcos Jr will not enter any deal that will favor China and harm the Philippines' territorial and maritime rights.
China is now trying to make it appear that a deal with a military official concerning foreign policy is valid.
And the fact that such an important matter was not reduced into writing but was sealed merely over the phone shows China's malicious intent.
It's called an under table deal... Not something unfamiliar in Philippines. It blew my mind when Pinoys actually re-elect the same government who openly rob their money during previous ruling . Must be a high level play
They themselves know that this "secret" agreement or rather "informal" deal with a naval officer is invalid and yet they're using it as an argument and even leaking their call. So it's safe too assume it's purely a propaganda move on their part and meant to cause further confusion and division among people's opinions.
