Whey protein is not important btw, only reason people take whey is because its the only food / supplement that has almost 100% pure protein with negligible carbs n fats and easy to eat. the whole idea of fast digesting protein after workout is really not reliable. The researches done on that are instantaneous researches and no where does it measure if its really helpful in long term or not. I stopped taking any "fast digesting" protein after workout, no eggs, no protein shakes, nothing and I am still improving my PRs every two/three weeks. I am not a novice, I have almost 2 times body weight squat, 1.5 times bench, 1 times OHP and 2.2 times deadlift. I an still improving every month even without any such fast digesting protein bs I also workout enough so that I am recovered and not sore for days. Granted I dont look like this guy, he is a beast ofcourse, but surely strength increase is a perfect indication of why this is not necessary
True. There’s no magical window. Its should ve taken in a 24 hour period. I finish my workout at 9:30am and take protein before my meal at 1pm. Never felt better. Feels more like taking glucose or Red Bull right after workout. 😂
