Glad you got value out of it! The sleeve tutorial will be out shortly if there is anything else you would like a tutorial on let me know in the comments
Hi Peter, yes you can definitely add notches in seamly. When you create a pattern piece by tracing the block there is a setting to add in internal markings such as notches. As for simulating fit, I haven't seen this feature in seamly
Cool software, cool video, but one question: I can't really make cloths, just really interested in designing them. Is there a way to see a prewiew on a simple model, or somerhing?
There are applications that allow you to do that such as Clo 3D which allow you to design clothes and visually see the fit on a 3d model. However, the downside is that a lot of these are paid industry based software
@@StitchdStudio yes, that's what my findings tells me as well. I was hoping for some unknown extension for seamly2d or something. The open source nature, and the fact that it's on linux is what's so good about seamly2d.
You just saved me soooo much time making patterns by hand.
brilliant video. really made seamly 2d look easy and straight forward (which isnt always the case) looking forward to your tutorial on sleeves.

Great tutorial! Can't wait for more
Glad you liked it!
I have two questions? Can you add notches? And is there a way to simulate how the pieces fit? Like for lectra! Thx ❤
