Hi, welcome to ShuoshuoChinese 说说中文; my name is Shuo, I’m a native Chinese teacher living in Bangkok, Thailand, I’ve been teaching Chinese as a foreign language for more than 10 years and I’m also a language learner.
In this channel, I will upload a weekly video, in which I talk about Chinese vocabulary, Chinese grammar, Chinese culture, Chinese stories with pinyin and the English translation for listening practice.
With my channel, you can easily start to learn and understand complicated Chinese grammar, sentence structure, and differences/nuances between similar Chinese words.
If you are a Chinese beginner, I’m planning to upload videos about what Chinese language is, how it differs from English, Chinese pronunciations, Chinese characters and Chinese stroke sequences and a mini Chinese course, (10 minutes per day), which can help you learn quickly and easily. Don’t miss it!
So, subscribe to my channel and start your Chinese learning journey!

Great idea of putting subtitles with the pinyin, and separate the characters! This way my eyes don't read the pinyin automatically!

I study yoga in Hebei and none of my teachers speak English so I had to pick up most of these pretty quick to understand what's going on. But still there were times I'd get confused because of tones. For so long I thought "why is the ring finger number five?? It's clearly number four I'm so lost." When I finally saw the characters written does it was a big "oooohhhh" moment. Another great video 老师!Thank you for this! Now I just gotta make sure I remember the new words I learned here, like 鸡肋, that's a fun one.

Just put the first 5 minutes into a plecko set and I will do the second half once I know the first half reliably. I can finally say what I’m working out when我偶然在健身房看見我的一位老師

I used to use “Simón dice” (Simon Says) to learn Spanish. A great extension of this video would be a Simon Says game.

That's so interesting to see that you have "bozi" in Chinese and it is has almost the same pronunciation with the Turkish word which is used for "throat"! In Turkish, we call it "Boğaz" and you guys just add "i" at the end. The tone in "o" makes it like our "oğa" (oğa is pronounced like "ooa"). This was quite surprising for me. I have just wanted to share it with you.

Thank you for your videos. As a new Chinese learner I find hard to tune my ears to what you are saying. When I slow down the videos I notices that sometimes your "n"s are almost silent or mute. For example, in min 0.05 you say "womeyao" as opposed to women yao. I see that silent n are a very common thing in native speakers. But I will adjust.

Interesting which parts you didn't use your own body for. Some of them are quite understandable, but a few confused me.
You're keeping this video polite, but I wonder if you could do a video on what people REALLY call some parts. I've heard like six different ways to say "breasts" in Taiwan for example, but I'm usually with "polite" people, and if I say those words to anyone else they laugh and say "that's not what we really say!" and then they won't tell me what they really say!!!! I have a book of Chinese slang that does mention if it's used in Taiwan or not, but that book doesn't seem completely reliable.
I can ask people of course, but it's not always the right situation to ask someone "hey how do I say tits in Chinese?"
I've also learned a few sex related words, but they only happen in very specific situations where it's kind of not going to come up in daily conversation, or it's really not appropriate to reveal to someone why I heard this word.... but... they're still language questions.
