Hey Kev, fan from Australia. I've got two USA RR1s and they are my ultimate guitars. I've got a 2006 white with black bevels and a 1987 tiger stripe rhoads. Those 80s/90s Rhoads are something else. The action on mine is so low to factory specs, feels lower than the 2006 but plays slightly better. The only thing I wished it had was the MoP Jackson logo on the headstock but cos the tiger stripes are all over the guitar you wouldn't see it. Sick axe you have and can't wait to hear it!

Love the neck on mine, came thinner than advertised (.807 or 20.5mm) I actually saw that RR1 on Ebay, but I didn't have the $$ to bid on it. U got an unbeatable price, even if u need to repair it! Hand still recovering so I won't play til another day or too. Nice guitar man!

I scored a 2009 Charvel USA TMZ natural san dimas with a V-trem that is stellar. Bought it to try and make up for the old 1982 Charvel san dimas strat with a V-trem i traded years ago. I really missed that Charvel so this TMZ natural is filling that void for me. it is insane how close to a old one these are.

I'm glad you got your USA back. I did the same, bought a RR in mid 2000's and had to sell. Same with a mij RR. Regretted selling both. Then I ended up getting blessed with a wr7 USA made by Mr Mike Shannon himself. Needless to say, I will live under a bridge with that guitar before I ever get rid of it. It's a part of me now lol

I love my left handed RR1, it was gray. Now it is a metallic silver flake with holographic sparkle al over it. It is a beast, I put EMG 81x and 85x in it and they sound better than the 81 and 85 I have in another guitar.
I just bought my first Jackson.. was saving for a kvpro but got a used USA king V for the same price. The neck is unbelievable! I’m ruined now,I don’t think I’ll be able to play another guitar again!!!
Hell yeah! I ordered a dime slime and it was delivered by ups. It looked like it was kicked the whole way from where it came from. I was pissed. Then you open the box and there was no protection for the guitar. Luckily the guitar was unharmed. Holy shit that Jackson is badass!!

I worked a ton of overtime, and bought a Jackson USA King V, brand new from Zzounds back in 2014. Had the pickups swapped to EMG 81/85, and all the cavities shielded. It played like a dream. Had to move out of state and needed the money. My local Guitar Center paid me $1,000 for it. That's ok though. I found a used USA King V in 2017 and picked it up. She has a few dents and dings, but she's my weapon of choice. Fucking love Jackson V's. Stay strong Kev, I'm stoked to see you doing so much better now that you're on HRT.
5:39 Oh mannnnnn I remember in the mid 90's when I was a teen I saved up all my money and bought a Jackson Strat made in Korea (forgot the model) that had a "licensed" floyd rose and that thing NEVER stayed in tune no matter what! Had it setup "professionally" several times etc... it was just utter CRAP. Never had a problem with the Floyd Rose Special 1000 though.
Jackson Vs are so iconic. They're one of the most metal guitars. I have a KV2 BGF Custom & a KVT black. The KVT sounds better but the KV2 is just so awesome to play.
I have a Pile O Skulls 1997 RR1. It's amazing. Has the best neck I've ever played....Congrats man! One question, why doesn't it have an original Floyd Rose?
The MIJ pro XL series are as good as the USA stuff. they used ebony boards with real MOP shark fins and had good floyds. I owned a XL Kelly and a Dinky and they were stellar!
That’s a Fucken awesome guitar Kevy. I bought a 92 USA RR in 2019 with the same problem as you have on the headstock. It’s made from derlin plastic, I think it’s called, with a MOP inlay and they are Notorious for delaminating. Unless you know someone who can make the veneer using the original materials (MADE IN USA inlay would be pretty Fucken hard to replicate) all I could find available is a vinyl decal. Let us know how you went with the repair mate, as I would like to repair mine to as it come out factory. Thanks for all your vids mate. They are inspiring to us all. Keep up the good work.

I was going to bid on that axe. You got a great deal! I ended up buying a Ran Custom V guitar instead since I already have a couple Jacksons.
I've heard a few people say they had problems with USA Jacksons around the bottom of their headstock where you were pointing out.
