    This is such valuable information, worth more than a chessable course.

    Hey Aman, have you ever considered developing these speedruns further? These annotated games against amateurs are a much more valuable learning tool than any opening course I've ever used, they blend opening theory and middlegame plans in a much more intuitive way than memorising lines ever could. If you built up a larger library of games and maybe arranged them by moitf as well as rating (stuff like sample games handling a kingside attack in the Taminov against a 900/1200/1500/2000, handling an early queenside castling etc etc, maybe adding some nice model games as well) to give it a little more structure, I think you would have the basis of a course that a lot of people would be willing to pay for! Keep up the great work and thanks for all the free vids :D

    16:51 ain’t no way an 850 is calculating a queen sac like that lol

      spotting the diagonal with the bishop on b2 is what he saw and I believe he did , but there's no way he calculated it all through as can be seen in the result of that play.

    As someone who naturally gravitated to the Kan Sicilian, this is something I've been so keen to see speedruns of!

    Wow, I can't believe they played the queen sacrifice at 16:43, and you predicted it. A move I'd never think of, but both of you were.

      800s weren't way that good a couple years ago. It's crazy how strong they have become and how rating now corresponds to higher strength levels.

    I followed the game in a personal lichess study, when Queen G3 happens, I didnt understand your comments until the engine show me what my 1600 llichess elo didnt see, After seeing the moves you calculated, I found it impossible to believe that an 800 would find the move, and when it actually happened, I truly understood all your comments and the importance of analyzing the position without underestimating the opponent's ability. It was truly a life lesson.🙌

    As a 2400, I was taught to play the Caro kann very early on and it never really fitted my style, only some lines in it.
    Mainly I got success with white playing e4.
    Even though your opponents and concepts are not going super deeply, this is gold. For ANY rating.

    Watching your stonewall speedrun gave me a good basis for replying to d4 and this will be my main for e4 now. I’m so glad these are the only two options

    Checked Harikrishna`s course on Taimanov. He covers this English type of attack against Taimanov and he plays b5 instead of Aman`s recommendation h5. Aman`s videos > chessable course with 1400 trainable variations
    Also funny fact. He shows position at the end when white played g4 and knight was forced to move to h5. Some other moves were played and he says at the end of variation "how white can be playing for something with so much weak kingside". My stockfish says it is +0.3. And my human eye says it is hard to play. So rly. Aman`s taimanov is the best. Can`t wait for high level opponents to occur

    I'm learning a lot from this, nice job Aman! Here is a question though:
    at 11:45 what do you do if after h5 they take your knight on c6 with the intention to play e5 if you capture with the queen? in that case you dont have b4 as a resource, so do you take on c6 with a pawn instead? if so which one.

    • @antimatter2417
      @antimatter2417 5 місяців тому

      Whenever white captures you knight on c6 you always want to capture back with your b pawn. I believe he's already explained this before. It lets the queen keep an eye on the e5 square, opens the B file for an attack, and gives you a massive advantage in the center if you ever want to push d5, which is often a good idea in any sicilian :)
