Love watching these! The "what's in my camera bag" videos are cool but they always lack lighting, audio and grip equipment. Since these are usually so big, it's always cool to see how others get around with them and how we can save space and travel more efficiently! Keep it up!
I'm a sucker for a “what's in my camera bag” video! Lol All of the other stuff isn't quite as sexy to pack or travel with:) But as I've matured in the craft I’m trying to bring more to shape and control light or capture good audio, and less camera gear. Thanks for watching the video! Pumped to have you here!
@@TroyMairs feel the same way both about the videos as well as maturing in the craft and carrying more stuff around Thanks for creating! Glad to be here!
You should get a couple of those Niteize Gear Tie type of ties for attaching the diffusion to the frame instead of the cordage you're using. They can double as cord wranglers when you travel too!
I use a 935 and the only overhead bin it doesn't fit in for me so far are the small connecting jets, so even though ATL can be a cluster f*&%, I often choose ATL layovers, so I don't have to put it under the plane. I did have one small jet where they let me put it in the flight attendant's closet. The 935 is so nice, and I like the Nanuk clasps a lot more than the Pelicans and Apaches.
Would totally love to know if the C stand case from Matthews Can hold 3 x c-stands from Kupo? Kupo dont make a case and they dont fit in the Avenger case unfortunately (I found out the hard Way)
Ahh that's a bummer (learning the hard way!) the interior dimensions are 50” x 14” x 7” - I don't have any Kupo stands so I can’t say for sure, but it fits the Matthews with some room to spare
I found out the best was to just get another Avenger case and 3 new avenger turtle base :P Then sell the new awesome kupo stands all together, and then use the other Avenger case i got for my two SIRUI SVT-75 PRO RAPID and a aputure 300X LS. The persuit for the perfect setup is so hard :P But im feeling that im getting there.@@TroyMairs
I really love your text, I am a DaVinci Resolve user if it's ok for me to asked what did you use to make your text or get such good text in your video I would really love to have that conversation.
I appreciate the kind words! I also use Davinci Resolve, and you're in luck because it is super easy! All the onscreen graphics I use here on YoutTube as well as my paid work come from MotionVFX (I'll link it below). On UA-cam, I tend to favor the mKeynote pack to keep it consistent across my videos. My next most used pack is the mTitleCinematic. Great question, and good luck out there! mvfx.co/TroyMairs.
Thanks Allen! Great Question, I operated off of an M1 Air for the quite some time and had great luck with that! When I went for this Macbook Pro, I got the M1 Pro Chip (not the m1 max) and it still serves me incredibly well!

Oh great suggestion! I hadn't thought of that, but I love the idea. Thank you!
Nice gear, Troy! Really like how you put this together 👏
I appreciate it! :) Thanks for checking out the video!
Any chance that you'll try a Nanuk 935 soon? Was looking into it esp since its mean to be carry on flight friendly too
I haven't tried out Nanuk just yet, but from what I've seen/heard they are a solid alternative the the pricier Pelican options!

Hoping someone can suggest the best carryon back for you as well. I need that info
You and me both! lol
Thank for checking out the vid! :)

Is the Macbook Pro the base M1 chip or is it an M1 pro chip? Nice video 👏
