It’s not even a matter of spotting him amongst the body doubles, trebles, quadruples, quintuples, etc. He’s nowhere. Largely vanished from the screens of state TV and official appearances.

It’s been 2 weeks since a foreign army invaded Russia, the first time in fact for 80 years since the former ally of the USSR, Nazi Germany turned on Stalin. Russia has lost 1,250 kilometres and 92 settlements to a substantive Ukrainian army, and Putin chooses this moment to keep a low profile.
Why is the dictator who fosters the image of a tough, man of action, who was going to take Kyiv in 3 days, and eliminate all the Ukro-nazis, silent on the fact that this decadent and ‘corrupt’ adversary is now gobbling up chunks of Russian territory. Literally driving German tanks into Kursk to de-Putinise Russian territory. And many of the locals seem perfectly happy with this. My guess is that the tyrant is terrified, as reality catches up with his myths and delusions.

In Kursk, there is no way for people to not know, what Russia has been doing to Ukraine for the past two and a half years. They are able to watch Ukrainian TV and listen to Ukrainian radio using a normal antenna. I guess, them interacting in a respectful manner with Ukrainian troops is at least partly down to this fact.

You put some ties together for me, thank you. This old woman plays a game with herself to see if I can guess what's next. I did not guess an invasion of Russia, but, I think it is brilliant tactics. Ukraine has been in what you might call a tight spot from the beginning and have done some spectacular things. Things like the Thunder runs and the Sea Babies give me hope that in spite of my country's political bs Ukraine will prevail. The acceptance of Ukraine into Russia by the local's should be the most terrifying thing to Putin. Hearts and minds, dear Vladimir. He forgot that part.
