I go to cedros twice a year with my buddy’s, all we use is surface irons for catching tune. I’ve taken all the brands over there, and I can tell you that they all work but these higher price ones like steel baits and oct swim so good. I really like that steel baits cuz the holes are bigger and it give them a better swim pattern. And my fav color is blue and white. And kicker is very under rated it’s swims amazing too only problem it’s very light and doesn’t go as far when I use it on my 9 footer. I got to youse it on my heavy duty bass rod so I can get some distance. But you pay for what you get when u buy steel baits or oct they swim perfect guarantee
You can find him on ig and order them. But i would recommend you save money and get a few jri for the price of one steel bait. I have one steel bait and its a great iron, doesnt swim any better then my jris or other jigs i have but man it hurts if you loose one of those 50-60$ steel baits. Obviously up to you but yeah ig you can find him and order them if you want.
Joaquin Rosales I would recommend the JRI 7 or JRI 3. I would stick with the blue or mint colored patterns for both Yellows and tuna. My favorite jig is a JRI 7 blue and white which I have caught both tuna and yellows on. The 7 is a larger jig than the 3. Also the 7 is best with a medium speed retrieve and the 3 is best with a faster retrieve.
Yes, both very good colors! Red crab is great for when the fish are feeding on them. And you can never go wrong with scrambled egg! Color comes into play a little but for surface iron I believe that the action of the jig plays a bigger role. You definitely want to fish an iron that swims good and they all swim a little different!

Kicker jigs are awesome as well.
Agreed! I have a few of those as well
I have a problem with kicker not staying down or helicopter
Would love to get those Steel baits. Does the color really matter?
Not as much as how good it swims
Where can I buy the steel bait jigs at. I'm having a hard time finding them.

What kind of iron would you recommend me for fishing tuna and yellowtail

Do you think scrambled egg is a good color or also red crab

Great White Angling thank you for the information. I’m just getting into throwing the iron. 🤙🏽
Good luck out there! Takes practice but a great reward when you land a fish on the iron!
$35 and they give you the middle finger for free 😂
