- After watching Top Gun, I fell in love with F14 immediately.
I've made a DIY F-14 before, but this time I want one with more details and variable-sweep wing design.
That's the main reason I bought this F-14 model, eventhough its painting was different from movie, other details really satisfied me.

Vf-2 (the paint scheme this model has) was my Squadron when I was in the Navy in 1996-1998.
I worked on thai exact number F14 all the time. I was an Ordinanceman. 101 was one of our flagship birds with the niceant paint jobs like this. Live it! Brings back memories!

还有欧洲英国，西德和意大利三国合制的狂风。

"Immortal Bird" sounds way better than Phoenix. Bravo on the flight! In the US, flying off a public road like that would last maybe one battery pack. Maybe. My Male Cat in in transit and will be here in a few days. Can't wait!
Very nice flight. The paint scheme is the VF-2 Bounty Hunters. They were based out of NAS Miramar and operated off the U.S.S. Enterprise and the U.S.S. Ranger. One of the best paint schemes ever. What I would do is dirty it up to make it looks used instead fresh of the show room floor look.
After all, it’s Navy, not Air Force.
My uncle served on the U.S.S. Enterprise between 1981 and 1986 I believe.

But the real star has to be the self-levelling camera. Those shots were just spectacular!

Maverick has still been alive but Tomcat was dead a long time ago.

That was amazing. The squadron with the skull and cross bones is the jolly Rogers. I worked on F-14 tomcat for 10 years in the NAVY and seeing that fly gave me goosebumps. How much are they American and what company produces them? The big missiles on the belly are called Phoenix missiles. Tomcats didn't carry them very often. They were said to be a million dollars a shoot. Cool video.

Very nice! Just a slight correction: on the vertical stabilizer, it reads “Northrop Grumman” but Northrop had nothing to do with developing nor building the F-14. It was Grumman only.

機翼收起時是用來直線加速超音速巡航，不是用來飛短距或不停轉彎，會導致升力不足，飛機就會抖動^^

高速情況下才有影響。模型速度很低。氣動外形幾乎可以忽略不計了。模型機主要考慮的是結構強度。大多數塑料接口在變速過程中受到的過載超過了他們的設計強度導致空中解體

The paint scheme you were talking about was the Jolly Roger with the skull and cross bones. You should be able to paint those on easily. Nice video I enjoyed it.

Very cool! Top gun was one of my favorite movies as a child, now I'm 40 and just watched the sequel and it did not Dissapoint. I just wish they had flipped off the 5th gen fighters from the f14. Seemed like a missed opportunity to me lol.

The lower missiles are phoenix missiles, then the larger ones on the pilons are sparrows, and the small ones are sidewinders
Part of it is that we are watching through google translate. Calling the Phoenix the Immortal Bird Missile is not exactly incorrect.
A closer translation would be Zhuque. 朱雀 as it holds a vaguely similar position within Chinese culture that the Phoenix holds in western culture. Arguably, a stronger one, as it is one of the houses of Huang Di and closer to a cosmic aspect than just a mythical creature.
Though if we really wanted to have some fun, we could call the Sidewinder the QuingLong 青龍 (which is an exaggeration to the extreme) and the Sparrow the Sanzuwu 三足烏.
Though this is taking the Sidewinder and calling it wood aspect dragon and a sparrow and calling it a Sun Crow.
Unfortunately, AMRAAM doesn't have as fun of a translation potential.

The immortal bird missile is called the AIM-54 Phoenix… the two you didn’t know is the AIM-120 AMRAAM (Advanced Medium Ranged Air to Air Missile) and the other is the AIM-9 Sidewinder. The phoenix has been retired from US Military service… but the AMRAAM and Sidewinder is still used.

The F14 is by far my favorite plane ever made and even though it's been decommissioned for some time now its still baddest aircraft ever made. I truly miss it.
There is one on display at Selfridge, ANG base in Mt. Clemens, Michigan. It is in an aviation museum ON BASE. Which means you have to get jacked up by the base police and have permission from the installation commander to enter. It is empty every day of the week. So sad.
I agree with you that the F-14 Tomcat was a fantastic solution for the threat the CVBG faced in the 1980s. I fear Russian and PRC will re-constitute the bomber threat and the USN CVBG will not have the protection it needs to survive a mass bomber attack. I have no idea as to how well the F-35C would be able to respond to a mass bomber attack on a CVBG. Smart money says, it is not as good as the protection afforded by the F-14 Tomcat (In Clancy's RSR the first attack by Soviet bombers was a devastating thing to read.)
@@sebastien3351 From what I understand, the major threat to our CV's is their land based anti-ship missiles, not manned bombers anymore. They have pushed our operations far away from Chinese waters.
The biggest problem for land based attacks against carriers is accurate targeting. Anti-ship missiles launched from bombers are closer and have targeting information that is current as to where the carrier battle group is, for they make ESM detection to establish the exact position/speed the carrier battle group.

There was a bit more lost in translation when it comes to the captions at least. About the missiles, the F-14 carried three types of air-to-air missiles. The small, heat-seeking SIDEWINDER, the radar-guided SPARROW (It’s the medium sized one. The one that’s a bit bigger than the SIDEWINDER). And last but not least, as we say here in the United States, the big air-to-air missile. That one is called the PHOENIX. That’s a very long range missile that was designed to destroy incoming Russian bombers if WWIII had begun. Again, great job putting that plane together and making this great video to share with us all!

I love Tomcat so much, that's why I passed the very difficult theory and interview test to select a pilot for the Air Force, but unfortunately I was rejected in the specialized medical examination of the Air Force. I tried so hard to get a Tomcat pilot's seat,but I couldn't, and it depressed me for quite some time. If I passed the specialized medical examinations too, I would be flying with a Tomcat right now.💔😭😔

Iran has at least 10 Tomcat's Aces, that 3,4 of those ones have more than 10 aerial victory, jeneral Jalil zandi(R.I.P.) has record from most shoted down, by 11 aerial aircraft shoted down, and The best of them was hunting down the phantom hunter, by nickname "sky falcon" . I wish one time come that nobody will haven't memory about war ever🙏🇮🇷❤🇨🇳

翻譯上兩者會混用應該是認知上有些誤會所造成的，畢竟兩者形象挺相近的
這點從鳳凰在英文圈被稱作「Chinese Phoenix(中國的不死鳥)」就可以看出來
小的就是麻雀和響尾蛇啦！麻雀是基本上打不中敵人的中距彈，響尾蛇是格鬥彈

Este kit tem duas turbinas eletricas de 80mm. Pena que um conjunto desses só deva ser acessivel por lá (imagino que seja Taiwan). Aqui acho que valeria uns R$6.000,00 ou mais não sei não

Logo procurei sobre o motor de turbina, acho que lhe chamam micro-turbina, ele funciona com keroseno. Encontrei uma live de um cara russo chamado Igor Negoda, ele explica como fabricou um motor de microturbina em sua oficina.

然後收翼時副翼要調小，不然太敏感了，升舵可以調大，因為效率變低

How long is the flight time?
@@omardotzat2290 It has two 80mm ducted fan motors, each works on 6s 25V and 100A at full throttle. The maximum effect of motor is 2500W. If you use two 6s 5000mAH battery pakkes, it only makes 3 minutes at full throttle. So the flying time is around 5 minutes max.
